Lebanon scrimmaged Mason last night. I believe it was the first action for both teams. They played 9 innings. I think it ended in a 3-3 tie. Pitching was strong for both teams. Pitchers are definitely ahead of the hitters at this point. Mason's defense was strong, as usual, except for one dropped fly ball. Lebanon's defense has some work to do. It's always good to get the first action out of the way. Lebanon is playing at West Carrolton on Saturday and then scrimmages against Lakota East and West next week. The season opener is on 3/29 with a double header against Grove City and Glen Este.

The Lebanon Lady Warriors improve to 18 - 0 with a 6 - 0 win over Fairborn.

Tara Trainer pitched a perfect game with 17 K's. She continues to prove she is one of the top pitchers in the state with her 10-0 record, 0.13 ERA, and 2.3 k's per inning on the season. Tara is not the only dominant pitcher on the staff. Kim Frank is 8-0 with a 0.66 ERA and 1.4 K's per inning on the season.

Lebanon is currently ranked #1 in the Ohio State Poll and #15 in the nation by Student Sports Fab 50.

The next 10 days will be a good test for Lebanon with 9 games in 10 days including games against Glen Este(13-4), Springfield Nortwestern(14-2), 2 games with Springboro(14-0), Centerville(17-1), Gahanna Lincoln(#6 in state poll), and Columbus DeSales.

Good Luck Ladies.

Congrats to Lebanon on their success! Centerville's Mollie Paulick is also showing strong as a pitcher with a 9-1 record and .69 era, 1.8 k's per inning. Springboro is also having a good season with pitcher Lauren Powell 8-0 and .73 era, 1.6 k's per inning. Good luck to all of these teams as the season is quickly approaching tournament play! The area has some great talent and will be fun to watch!

Lebanon defeats Springboro 2-0 in an old fashioned pitchers duel. Trainer gives up 0 runs on 1 hit and 14K's for Lebanon. Powell gives up 2 runs on 3 hits and 5 k's for Springboro. Lebanon goes to 22-0 and Springboro is now 16-1. Rematch tonight at Lebanon

Lebanon rocks Boro - run rule in 5. Not quite sure why Boro would leave in the ace for an 11 run pounding in first inning? Why do that to the kid?

Good point...she was clearly sore from the previous day's performance. Not fair to her. Hopefully she'll get some recovery time.

If sore - should have demanded to come out. My post was more around why leave your ace in for that pounding if she has to carry you in the postseason. Hate to see a coach do that to a kid. Back to back should be attainable at this point in the season? Surely she pitches multiple games in a day or goes back to back in travel ball.

Wow, JIMHAMRICK I guess I thought you were actually showing concern for their pitcher. Instead you just wanted to bash Boro's coaching. Message received. You don't know the facts, and that she was suffering from a strain. Of course she pitches multiple games in travel and is very capable. It's just sad to see that you, an "adult" can't take into consideration that a 16yr old kid was doing her best under the circumstances she was given. Won't argue with you, as you clearly don't have anything in mind but to brag on the "pounding" she got in one inning. Don't dare say anything positive. She held her composure and showed class. Came back after stretching the strain and held her own pretty well. Everyone, even the pros have things happen out of their control.

No - you interpreted my post wrong (or I worded incorrectly to the point I was conveying)- I was concerned for her - health and mental states. I agree she was extremely composed and outside of the first inning was effective. I am by no means bashing the player. She is a very talented player. My apologies to you and her if you felt that I was in any way I was speaking negatively of her. Best of health and luck in the future.

Lebanon improves to 29-0 with a 4-0 win over Edgewood. The Lady Warriors bats were a bit quite with only 10 hits on the night. However #33 was her usual dominant self in the circle. Trainer threw her 5th no hitter of the season with 16 k's, 0 walks and only one base runner that reached on an error.

The win advances the Lady Warriors to the District Final on Friday vs. Ursaline at 5:00 pm in Fairfied. Keep it rolling Ladies.
