I dont follow 12u at all as my kid has gotten old (lol) but I see where hawks kepple finished 16th at the laser event but won ASA states --was the laser field that strong compared to asa states ? maybe they just had a really bad weekend ?

As mentioned above, Thunder Elite hosted a tourney that included both of their 12-U teams, Classics '99 (they won it), NOS, etc. Looks like several other teams took this last weekend off.

Lasers was loaded at 12u. Some very good teams at States but a few dropped cause they had already won bids

yes several teams already have their births so they were off at other tournaments

And yes laser nation was that loaded with outstanding teams. 9 out of the 10 teams in the coaches poll top 10 were at laser nation... actually 16 of the top 17 vote getters for the year were there plus some outstanding teams from out of state. I think four of the top 8 finishers for LaserNation were from out of state.
