There are no 10u's throwing 60 and anyone who tells you differently is full of it. I had a 12u girl and her parents tell me she threw 85.....yes, I said 85.
That's border line insanity! Way, and I mean WAY past mommy and daddy goggles! Ray Charles could see through that b.s.!

Who's that? We've got 2 shortstops.?

I don't know her name or number. She has dark hair. I believe she was the starter in your first game at the spano friendly in March. She really stood out to me, so I'm guessing she is your #1 ss.

Cheyanne (Outlaws) has come a long way through persistance, hard work and dedication. I've seen her quite a bit over the past 3 years during games and workouts. Saw her pitch a couple HS games this season. She definitely can make a roar at the D-4 level. They (Mathews) have a good team and should make it to and through Districts. She throws hard, but I don't believe I've seen a pitch over 60 in four games. Most seem to be in the 55-57 range on top end. Her control has been her biggest area of improvement and addition of change up and breaking ball makes her tough to face. The first game I saw her this season, mechanics were off, momentum was not down the powerline. The last game, loss to Bristol in 9 innings (3-2), she pitched very good and had great control and solid velocity. Believe she focused upon mechanics with coach as her drag foot and momentum improved with velocity, maybe closer to 60. I was impressed! If she continues to work as hard as she has since her 10U season, she's going to be one of the best in the state by graduation in 3 years. I'd like to see her throw her other pitches in 3-2 counts and more often throughout game, difference between pitching and throwing...:):)

Actually Cheyenne started pitching at 12U and was the 3rd pitcher for the hustle. The next year she came and tried out for my team and we made her our number one pitcher and it was great to watch her grow that year and over the last few. What a GREAT kid and family. As far as her speed I know she can and does throw well over 60 mph. ( Ohio State Camp clocked her at 64, 64,65, and 66 mph) She does change speeds very well and will throw from 56-57 up to mid 60's. Losses have been off unearned runs I believe her ERA is around .30 on the year. Will tell you that she is a complete pitcher not a thrower but can blow you away and she will, but if she needs to pitch she will.

The SS for the 10u Lasers is a good one. She has a strong arm for a little girl. And is definately not afraid to get dirty. I saw her make a couple diving stops a couple weeks ago. I don't know her name, but I think they call her Z?

The Mason Thunder sure has some boppers on their squad. Their lineup is tough top to bottom. Good pitching and well coached as well.
