Why never trust Dad to hold your cell phone

Last summer during a tournament the DD asked me to hold her cell phone while she went to the bathroom and a idea came to me. I scrolled through the directory and found the boyfriend and sent the text message "I HATE YOU!!". She took her phone back none the wiser until after the game when I told her I think her boyfriend might be having some issues. After she called him she was NOT happy but I must say I was more than a little amused. A little payback for all the things a teenage girl puts dad through. The real payback will come some years down the road when she finds me at her door with a suitcase in hand, a grin on my face and a bag of adult diapers under one arm asking which room is mine? ;&

That's awesome!! My oldest DD is 14 and I believe I may have to try that one. She is usually mad at me anyway for always ruining her life so I might as well have some fun with it! Thanks for the idea!!

I just read all the texts so dd will never let me hold it unless they are deleted. She knows I will read them because I told her in advance that I will any time she leaves it lying around.

Not only do I read all the txt messages, but I change the language to whatever pops up. You need to see the look on a 12 year old when all the comands are in french or german. Every one can figure out spanish....

My dd changes the language on my phone and I can never get it back because I don't bother to look in my menu to see where she goes to change it - I better do that right now.

LOL I would say in the past 4 years I have destroyed atleast 5 phones for different reasons. The celly has been the biggest punishment for all my DDs Dont go to school and your not dying I'll send it to left field, Bad grades same thing, Only had the phsyco BF thing a few times and dealt with thier parents on that one. Up to the DD's to do work(mostly for family) to get another celly. I would have to say though in the past year no cell phone batting practice so its working....I think???
