12u Classics went 3-0 did'nt give up a run to get the 1 seed. Wild Thangs went 3-0 to get the 2 seed . We gave up 2 runs. TNT Explosion (wv) Ohio Dragons, and KC Diamond Gems are teams to watch out for tommorrow also . I know TNT beat the Ohio dragons by a solid margin. We beat KC diamond 5-0. Hopefully we can get even on the year with the Classics tommorrow. If we get that far. MD

big dissapointment was the Mountain Thunder not coming at 12u. They were of the same caliber as the Classics. They had beat us 3 outta 4 . I'd guess if we get by the TNT explosion (we have beat them 3 out of 4 ) we will see the Classics in the final. (KC Diamond does have a solid # 1 pitcher but her team is a little weak) MD

Thanks and good luck tomorrow! The girl that plays first base for the Classics was on my school ball team, good player, that is a solid team and I no you guys(thangs) can play a little bit yourselves.

1st a correction , going into today we were 2-2 VS TNT at 12u , NOT 3-1 .


On the the scores: We should re-name the event after the TNT Explosion . They won the 10,12 and 14u .

1st the 12u : Classics got past KC Diamond Elite after being down 2-0 in the 3rd or 4th. They ended up winning 6-2 I think. KC Diamond's outfield let them down, left fielder had 3 errors. The other semi final was the TnT Vs Wild thangs . We played exactly like we did last week VS The Classics at berliner. Terrible start , tryed to battle back but just gave up too many runs early, gave up to many free bases , on bad throws , Wild pitches, passed balls, bad hops, no throws, add a few hits and they scored enough to beat us. Not being able to hit their little lefty was frustrating. Maybe someone from the Classics can verify this but I bet she does'nt throw 45-46 mph. BUT she has control and two change of speed pitches, she nibbles and nibbles, if you are not patient she will drive you crazy.

she must have frustrated the Classics, TnT beat them 7-1 I think. Tnt is all 11yr olds also. congrats to the TNT. Thanks to all teams who came and played. Hot day ! MD

East of Huntington WV. As 10's they won the ASA Eastern regional in York Pa. last year. Not an imposing looking team , but they get it done. No big girls , no 2-3 girls that look like "great athelets" just a very solid, well coached group of girls. MD

Hats off to the TNT Explosion! ? The kids, coaches, and parents were a real class act. ?They beat us twice by more than a few runs, but you would never know those kids were winning. ?They were all business and good sports too. ?Plenty to be proud of there. ? Congrats again. ?

In fact, I think all the 12U teams we saw fit that bill.

Wild Thangs - Very nice tournament. Top notch competititon and you are right about the TNT....very nice team, well coached and persistent. Not to mention....gotta luv that accent! Fun tournament, nice facilities, lots of warm up area....all the teams came to play ball. Good job on keeping the tournament moving. Thanks for bringing the 3 states together to play.
