Definately! Why leave a good thing! :)

DeDe21,

Some how or some way a few people always think the grass is greener - its funny how this works out year after year. With that said - my daughter is kind of stuck :)

Kavin3,

You are so right. Every travel team has some issues here and there because no two people think alike. You are not always going to agree with everyone all the time. They key is that your dd likes her coaches and teammates and she is getting good instruction. Our dd loves both of her coaches and she is getting better and better. We couldn't be happier. The other families are great and we had a blast this year. The grass usually isn't all that much greener on the other side.

DeDe21,

Yes it is all about the player getting better & better to get closer & closer to her full potential & you can & should have fun doing it. But the rumbles continue nevertheless. I always tell people to be careful of what they say, when they say it, & to whom they say it to because it might come true.

There must be alot of girls looking at changing the way my phone has been ringing, e-mails and stopping me at the tournaments asking about more information about our Wizard program. I have had at least half of one team from a different program indicate that they would like to switch.

great thread, just noticed it! as Director of Magic, and coach for Maumee thunder, i'd love to have people tell us why they might not want to come back, this would be good info to improve what we are doing. Please tell us in private emails, we don't want "flame wars" on OFC! :-] That said, our coaches tell me the past 3 years, they have lost hardly any kids they wanted back with Magic, which I think is a good thing that people are happy with the organization, and more likely the coach.

My DD wants to stay, but it depends on her tryout next weekend and in my mind I like it that way. She can't get comfortable thinking that it's automatic. Plus, there were some positions that we were lacking on. Some girls probably won't make it back on and some might.

No Way! Great Org, ran well, but coaches was very bad!! You would think that 16U-18U Coaches would stop with the Daddy ball and cuddling their own !! Face it travel is to expensive to showcase 1-2 girls on a team !! It takes 9 players to play the field, not 1 or 2. If the girls are good enough to put on the team then stick with them, dont go out and find another girl to replace them then make up lies to cover up the coaches faults. Coaches are to teach if you cant teach the game then dont coach. Why make rules if you are going to break them, you dont want your own players subbing for other Org's., why let other players from other Org's come and play for you? When you have plenty players? This was no World Series Tournament,I could see that!! Out of respect to the Org, Cause like I stated it is a very well ran org. just think they need new coaches for these age levels. If you would like pm me I will tell you the Org. and the Coaches. DD is loooking for a new team this coming season 2010-2011@ 16U-18U age group.

My DD will be going to the Marion Diamonds 10U's (along with the rest of her team). We are leaving the Mid Ohio Bullets 10U's. We love the Bullets organization and wish them the best of luck in the future if they decide to continue the program in the years to come.

It depends on how motivated my DD is to go to try-outs. We really like the families and girls of the Cats, but she's always said she wants to get on a college exposure team. Well, I've put that ball in her court and if she really wants it she'll get off the pot and start getting motivated. I'm wanting her to step up and not just talk the talk.

Just curious.......

I see that most posters are staying with the same organization. Does that mean your org has a "no cut" policy, since tryouts have not yet started?
