I agree but I would go one step further.....I dont think any coach should be joining in the actual chants no matter how old...I do realize it may just be that fun for some that do but those tend to be the most immature arguing coaches too....

SO TRUE..
This year in the Ohio D1 playoffs one of the opposing coaches sitting on the bucket at the end of the dugout doing the old batter swing song...... Nothing was said from the umpires or our HS coach but, the game did get a little ugly at the end with the parents... Mainly because of the other teams coaching staff who did a great job controlling the game and "umpires" from the 1st inning on allowing them to pretty much do what they wanted...
We did end up holding on for the W... and the opposition and umpires left the stadium in record time...

As far as my team goes they will never say anything against an opposing player if i would ever see or hear them they would have a good view from the bench. We do and always will coach to win and lose with class.Alot of coaches don't realize the lesson to be learned from a loss is better than a win. I am pretty confident in my teams sportsmanship with countless comments from umpires and parents.

don't forget all the other teams we've played that tell us we have a class act team and organization! I know for a fact that the girls blesh is referring to ARE a class act. I couldn't be more proud to be part of that organization! Thanks to all our players and parents and coaches for all the support of our young ladies. They deserve it, as do all girls or women playing this great sport. Support ladies and gentleman..... be their biggest fan, not their biggest critic. Good luck to all teams at nationals, and world series, and all tourneys.

At 12U we have had one particular opossing pitcher, every time she's takes the mound, she picks up a rock or pebble and chucks it at our dug out. That is definately taught by someone. And the funny thing is, it was our kids that pointed it out. We have many friends on many teams and look forward to each any everytime we can root for both teams to do a great job. I just want my daughter to do a better job. We played a couple of weeks ago at Expressway in Milford, had a rain delay, and once the rain lightened up we had 4 teams partying together and cheering together. They bunny hopped their way around the concession stand. At one point the girls made sure they alternated with other teams so that thay were all one unit not separate teams doing something together. We were knocked to the lower bracket by one of those teams, they finished second overall. After their last loss about 11:30 p.m. Sunday night, the Shock girls begged their parents to stay another 30 minutes to root us on to a disappointing close loss. Cincy Shock is a class act and that says so much for their girls and parents and coaches. We look forward to playing you all again.
