2014 Metro Dayton ASA/USA National Qualifier / College Showcase - powered by Mizuno
Metro Dayton ASA will be providing both an USA/ASA National Berth and an Eastern Regional berth for the top two finishers in each age group. The 16u/18u teams will be playing in the main 5-diamond complex all weekend and under the lights, giving ample opportunities for college coaches to catch as many games as possible. Last year we had 30+ colleges attend, we are expecting more this year... several local colleges and their players will be responsible for maintaining the fields between games as a fundraiser for their programs. The Mizuno rep and tech will be on hand with their equipment van for players and teams to check out.
There will be 1 USA/ASA National Berth AND 1 ASA Eastern Regional awarded per age group.
Pool Play will be 1:20 - No New Inning. Bracket will be 1:40 - complete the inning, proceed to ITB. Losers/Winners bracket finals, no time limit. Pool play all day June 6th with first bracket games starting in evening.
Straight ASA Championship rules for elimination play. Roster bat for pool play. Head coaches must present ACE certification.
