[Softball] Lady Warriors Take Down Cougars, 11-6

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.--Rochester College Lady Warriors defeated University Cincinnati Clermont 11-6 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with RC batting in the top of the sixth when Brooke Snyder (Willis, Mich./Ypsilanti Lincoln HS) singled driving in the go ahead run.

Rochester took an early lead in the first inning. Jenna Dominek (Armada, Mich./Macomb CC) drove in one when she singled in the first inning.

The Cougars knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the fourth inning scoring two runs when Jessica Cahill singled with two outs.

Natalie Rosenau (Keego Harbor, Mich./West Bloomfield HS) earned the win for the Warriors. She threw seven innings, surrendering six runs, 11 hits, and striking out two. Madison Taber took the loss for University Cincinnati Clermont. She went seven innings, allowing 11 runs, 17 hits, striking out three, and walking zero.

The Lady Warriors collected 17 hits and University Cincinnati Clermont had 11 in the high-scoring affair

Dominek, Snyder, Rosenua, Zoey Humes (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ypsilanti New Tech HS, Skye Donaldson (Oxford, Mich./Oxford HS), Ashley Romanek (Taylor, Mich./Taylor Kennedy HS), and Chander Hill (Imlay City, Mich./Macomb CC) each collected multiple hits for the Warriors. Dominek led the way with three hits in five at bats.

The Warriors will look to continue their win streak as they are on the road to take on Saints of Siena Heights University this Wednesday, March 29th. First pitch is set for 3:30pm at Christensen Memorial Softball Field.
