[Softball] Lady Warriors Sign Offensive Threat, Zoey Humes

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI - On Wednesday, February 3rd, Rochester College Head Softball Coach Tai Sharpley announced the signing of Ypsilanti Community High School 2016 graduate Zoey Humes.

Humes will be joining the Warriors after finishing her senior season under Coach Edwards. During her high school career, Humes has lettered in softball (4) and volleyball (1) as a Grizzly. As a sophomore, Humes ended the season with an impressive .340 batting average. Her following year she was named the team's Co-MVP and had another outstanding season at the plate. As a junior Humes improved her batting average from the previous year to .413.

Humes is the daughter of Herman and Christine Humes and is the sister to Kenlee. Humes father Herman was a collegiate athlete himself at Eastern Michigan University.


Coach Sharpley on Zoey:

"Zoey will be a huge asset to the program. She's extremely versatile and a huge threat on the bases. I immediately loved her aggressiveness. Zoey is definitely an addition I had to have on the team."
