I saw in today's newspaper that Jennie Finch will be on the upcoming season of "The Apprentice", along with other celebrities for charity.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I have some mixed feelings about this. ?On the one hand, I would like to see and hear a little more of JF ~ but on the other hand, I can't stand the show or that horse's patoot---Donald Trump!!!

Dunno, might have to lower my standards a little and watch it while she's on. ?;) ?

Show starts tonight at 9:00---GO JENNIE!!! (Hope she kicks Omarosa's and Gene Simmons' keisters) ?

She'll probably win the whole thing. ?She's a woman (strong, resiliant, hates to be wrong), she's an athlete (strong, competitive, hates to lose), and she's way prettier than Gene Simmons (although their hair is equally full of bounce & shine). ?This should be interesting. ?Its for Charity, right? ?I wonder what charity Jennie is competing for??

eatsleep--lol, you're right, it's probably a toss up on the hair, but Jennie's tuff---she'll club him like a baby seal!!! ?;) ;D

(Article didn't say ~ not sure which charities will benefit?)

SORRY!!! ?:'(
Something this cute should never be clubbed or compared to a member of KISS!!!

Did anyone watch it last night? Jennie did not say a whole lot. She kind of took the back seat.

Yeah,
But she did bring in the Mets third baseman to give the extra cash and held her own at the table with the crazy lady when they were with the Donald.

Gene Simmons is the master businessman as he showed last night and should win in the end, but Jennie needs to punch it up a notch in future weeks on the competitive side to keep up...

Here is the quote from the NBC website for "The Apprentice".

"Jennie's charity is The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. PERSONAL CONNECTION: Jennie lost a close friend to breast cancer. A family member was later diagnosed with breast cancer but has beaten it, Jennie believes that developments through the foundation helped save her life...."

There is more, but you just asked what charity.

I can see why they brought Amorossa (not sure of spelling) back--I certainly would not want to hire her or work with her. It was obvious that she was not in the same "class" as the celebrities and found a way to blame others for her mistake instead of taking the blame.

Well, I have to admit....I was GLUED to that TV last night. ?I was a little dissappointed that Jenni wasn't more aggressive, which makes me wonder how long she'll be able to last on that "dog eat dog" show. ?What scares me is....I'm actually pulling for GENE SIMMONS at this early stage of the game. ?OMG! ?This guy bothers me just to look at him but he has a way about him, he's slick, calm, cool, collect, appears to have everything under control and he definitly seems to be a man who can get things done. ?I think he gets results through intimidation. ?The man is terrifying......yet mezmerizing. ?Weird, huh? ?And Osmorosa, you can't help but love to hate her. ?She's got a good business head, but I think the celebrities are ultimately going to gang up on her and get her "fired". ?

Gotta agree---that made for some pretty compelling television last night. ?

I think it was pretty understandable that Jennie was a little subdued (she has to gauge the competition).

And you're right, eatsleep, I couldn't help rooting for Gene Simmons, too. ?I found him to be surprisingly charismatic. ? (?You don't know how much I hate myself for saying that.)?;)

Can't wait for next week.

Gene Simmons is one of the best businessman ever!!! He has turned the KISS name and his image into a fortune. Simmons could probably teach Trump a thing or to. The only possible reason that Simmons is on this show, is another promotion of himself and the "KISS" name. If he doesn't win it hands down, then the shows a sham.

If you haven't ever seen it, you will likely find Gene Simmon's Family Jewels on A&E (I think) entertaining. He is definitely one of a kind.

They'll just keep Ohmarossa on for ratings and then Gene can chew her up. That will be a great test of two strong wills.

Would love to see Jennie get the competion fire in her eyes when Ohmarossa tries to push her buttons. Jennie doesn't have the corporate experience to have her game on yet, but her experiences in a major arena as a "TEAM" member should help.

Seeing Ohma spin everything that she originally said was pretty funny and an eye opener for the others such as Jennie.

She sold out the one that got cut after originally stating we aren't selling our commodities "meaning their celebrity status" in which Jennie and Mary Lou actually did when no one was buying their goods and was then praised by Ohma the project leader for doing so. She's a snake, but it brings ratings...

Yes, it was infuriating to see Omarosa completely turn around what she had shoved down the throats of the rest of the women, and then blame them for following her directives! ?>:(

And since I had never seen the show before, it drove me crazy when I realized her teammates weren't gonna be able to "vote her off the island" like they do on Survivor!!! ?

You're right Hilliarddad---they will definitely keep her around to stir the pot, cuz nuthin' hooks us like conflict. ?:D

I'll own up to being a Gene Simmons fanatic ----Family Jewels is a weekly show for my bunch ---It's funny to see Gene at home , shows just how much he is "acting " when in the KISS garp. The show is hilarious . I'm no fan of many of the current VH-1 and MTv stuff either. His nut house reminds me of my own home sometimes. Gene's son Nick is a hoot, they are just so ordinary on the show. MD

Anybody watch last night's episode??? ?

I missed it cuz I thought it was on Fridays, but found the site where you could watch full episodes. :D

http://www.nbc.com/The_Celebrity_Apprentice/video/episodes.shtml

Again, our girl Jennie was pretty quiet, (but doesn't she look amazing---she could be one of the actresses or models). ?I think she's just biding her time, and will easily outclass and out-lead most of the ladies when she is a project manager.

I missed it too. ?DARN-IT! ?I was looking so forward to watching it and then I forgot all about it. ?BUT, you can watch each week's show again on Saturdays, on the same channel. ?I can't wait though. ?I'm checkin' out Kat's website.
I don't look for the Donald to get rid of Oma anytime soon. ?She and Gene are purely for ratings!

btw....anyone watch "Kitchen Nightmares" with Gordan Ramsay??? Oh wow...am I hooked! Gordan is like Simon Cowell...you love to hate him! He's mean, nasty, rude and has a bad attitude, but I'll be darned if he's not always RIGHT!

You're right, eatsleep---he is all those things. ? ?

And that's part of why I really can't watch his shows, he reminds me too much of some of the jerk bosses I've had (and still have) in my life time. ?I swear I start getting chest pains. ?;)

Did anyone see Jennie on The Real Housewives of Orange County?
One of "the wives" has a daughter who plays softball. They showed footage of her serving as batgirl for team USA.

I'm not a huge fan of the show but I'm all for a high profile TV shout-out for softball.
