What are the best tournaments in Ohio for 16u and 18u players to get scout exposure? I hear Kidron and Loudenville are good, but what others should be in that list.

Stingrays, Best of Best, ASA States. Remember, your daughter must contact college coaches and advise them where she will be playing.

For individual exposure, the Queen of Diamonds North and South. Used to be known as Kent State/Ringor here in the north.

No particular order:

1. Compuware
2. Stingrays
3. Best of the Best Summer Showcase
4. ASA Qualifiers (States and National)
5. Loudonville
5. Kidron
6. Kent State Showcase (Not Queen of Diamonds North = Just play games some coaches stay to watch)
7. Best of Best Fall Showcase and University of Akron Showcase Camp (same weekend Oct 11, 12)
8. The one in Tenessee same weekend as Compuware
9. Colorado Sparkler

This is definitely one to put up as a "sticky" because it is so often repeated. I agree with Wolfpack's list.

I ask this question to a couple of the coaches that were at Stingrays. They pretty much told me the same thing that Wolfpack has in his reply. They also mentioned the Orland Park, Ill tournment and Sluggerfest.

They also mentioned that you should try to get to a showcase within the region of the main colleges that you are interested in to get maximum effect (if you are interested in southern schools, then the Music City tournament would be a no-brainer). The coaches that I talked to were very understanding of the money crunch with the increase of fuel and how it will effect which tournaments a team can afford to go to.

If you want to get out of Ohio, then the Dynamite Classic in SC, Fireworks in Colorado, and Cardinal Classic in NC. All huge turnouts with big time D1 programs present.
