Tim (bouldersdad), Even though you were grilling me on a different thread...I have to agree with your selections...lol. Have you had a chance to look at the 18U 43 team field for the "Chattanooga Gold Diamond Showcase"? It is stacked with the best that Georgia, Alabama and Florida have to offer!!! I see that Ohio will be represented by 4 teams, maybe we'll hook up for a cold one...lol. :)

Mike, as always you do an outstanding job. I saw at least a half dozen high profile college coaches at the 18U GAPSS last year. I've also talked to at least a half dozen elite travel coaches and everyone of them likes the move to the 23-25th weekend. It should be a great tuneup for ASA Nationals, and if NSA Nationals are at Berliner it will serve as a great tuneup for them as well!!! :)

Lee sorry I somehow missed this post ....yes its a ton of talent at Gold Diamonds in Chatt. It will be fun to be back there again this year, and by all means we can hook up and have a cold one and since I grilled you i,ll buy the first round...... I,ll even buy the second if youll demonstarte the whip hit.lol... see you there

Didn't see many coaches at 18U Sluggerfest but Orland Park Sparks has a considerable coaching draw which usually includes a majority of the Big Ten and colleges from all divisions. Homer Hawks has almost the same draw and they are played on the same fields in Elgin, IL. The thing that is great about that park for exposure is if memory serves me correct there are 10 diamonds and you can walk from one end of the park to the other in just two minutes so the coaches are all right there together and not scattered at different fields all over the county.

Personally, I think when Marie's ( Lady Lasers Akadema) tournament in Goshen is moved back a weekend... it will be a great college showcase. It was the first weekend of October this year.. which is the last weekend of College play.

Looking forward to it coming back to Goshen in 2010.
