You know this could be discussed at the 13u Ohio Stingrays Texas Hold'em Tournament March 7th @ the Baltimore VFW hall. Door will open @ 4:00pm play starts at 5:00pm. Cash table will start at 6:00pm.

Where are all the teams. You have a shot to play, IMHO, the two best 12u teams in the state of Ohio. The Doom 96 and Laser Gold. Where are the Classics, Stingrays and Valley Extreme. Come on people has really got to the point where this age group just wants trophies and not play to get better. Come on 12U teams !!!!!!!

The Ohio Stingrays 12U are playing in the Capital City Showdown that weekend. They are playing at 14U that weekend.

With the six girls I heard they picked up from try-outs, they should be playing nothing but 14U all year. Except for the 12U qualifiers. IS that what they are doing?

Don't know what you are getting at. I just looked on their website and saw their schedule. I don't know anything about the team.

Since most teams set their tournament schedule last fall and this tournament wasn't posted until January, that might be why the tournament is not filling up fast.

I'm sure that the fields will be filled by the time the tournament starts.

All I am getting at is why it seems like the elite organizations are not chasing down the toughest competition. It seems like in this age group its about finding a tournament you have a good chance of winning. Is that what travel ball is about now in the younger groups.
It is possible to change tournaments to find tougher competition. Our teams has do it to go play the best field possible. I am not with this tournament or any team in the tournament. I heard last weekend that the 12U Stingrays picked up 6 stud players and when you answered with your reply I thought you were with this team.

We'd like to make a change to our schedule to include this, but the 14U field is looking a bit thin right now. Anyone else considering this tournament at 14U? And can we count on all the Lasers teams or should we assume that none of the Lasers teams is attending unless we see them on this thread?
