ASA Tournament 2009 Fall Best of the Best College Showcase

The Fall Best of the Best will be held on Saturday and Sunday October 10 & 11 in Massillon, OH at Genshaft Park.

This will be an ASA Sanctioned Event.

It will be a 5 pool game event. 3 pool games on Saturday and 2 pool games on Sunday. This is a showcase for the athletes. No elimination games!

All games will be 1 hour and 30 minutes and we will finish the inning.

Cost will be $450.00 per team

NO ANIMALS PERMITTED in the PARK

Free Defensive substitution

Bat as many as you want

The only mercey rule will be 15 after 5

To the best of my recollection, it is an 18u event that Jamie may allow 16u teams to enter, if he feels they can compete. There are some great games that go on at this event.

It is for the 18U age group but we will allow 14U, 16U, 18U teams in if we feel they are able to compete from the 43 foot pitching distance. This is a college showcase and we are trying to attract the best available talent to bring in so the college coaches will come recruit OHIO kids!!!

Toledo, Akron, Kent St, Gannon, Lake Erie College

Bowling Green, Ohio State, Kentucky, Malone, Walsh, Marietta, Heidleberg, Capital, University of Notre Dame, Purdue, Wisconsin, Youngstown State, Ohio Domminican, Muskingum, Notre Dame of Cleveland, Ohio Wesylan, St. Francis PA, Tiffin, E. Michigan, University of Buffalo, Miami, Ohio University, E. Kentucky, John Carol, Wooster, Ashland, and Mount Union.


We have run this tournament for about 4-5 years and I can say the college coaches have gotten bigger each year. They ALL don't show up every year, but these are some that have been there in the last 2 years!

We have approximately 20 entries as of today, Aug. 28th.
I believe we will be choosing the field of teams (18 as of
now) next Tuesday, Sept. 1st. Any other teams that are interested in getting in should get your entry form and check to me ASAP! Teams that have complied with the requirements for selection (Registration Form and Entry Fee) will be the teams considered.

Your team will not be considered if we do not have an entry form and check in hand by Tuesday September 1. This is the only way..... To many teams have inquired and we can not hold spots just because you say you are coming....

My dd is available to play 3rd or 1st for any team that may need a fill in player. She can hit also. Big kid with a nice stick. We live 10 mins from the fields and would love to play. I'll probably be there to watch anyway. PM me if interested.

If you know who is in and who isn't could you please list the teams. I have had several college coaches contact me about coming to watch girls play and would like to be able to tell them one way or the other if were in or not. Thanks.
