Thanks goes out to the Warcats, Sabotage, OFC Heat and Hawks teams for the great games this weekend... we all had a lot of fun, seen some great ball from the girls and everyone got along great - made a lot of new friends and saw some old ones.

Special thanks to the families from the Classics, Lasers, Dragons and Bandits for traveling down to Cinci to let their DD's participate... My 5 girls that were playing basketball on Sunday won their Metro tourney while we got to play with some great kids from up north... Hope you all had safe travel home - tell your teams to come down in late March / early April for our friendlies at Smith Park http://www.game-ex.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=23973

Final game ended up at 4pm Drop dead with the Hawks 97 and Hawks 98 teams tying 2-2... not a bad ending although I think the trophy should go to the younger 11u team ... LOL.... Can't wait to see everyone on the diamonds... it won't be long now.

Mike, You have a very good team. Your pitcher threw very well, I was surprised to hear she had not been pitching all that long. It was too bad the game had to end when it did. Both you and Doug do a great job of motivating your teams. I see both your teams doing very well this season.

Doug, Nest (shoot......is that a "Hawkism") time you need a pinch runner, let me know, I will bring speedy down anytime...Lol!! I just want to say thanks again for the hospitality. You and your staff welcomed my dd and the other girls with open arms. As a coach or a parent you don't always know what your going to get as a guest player, and I have to say this was very good experience for my daughter. She learned, she experienced and so she grew as a player and a person. What is up with the yellow gatorade? I haven't seen my kid drink yellow gatorade in years, but thats all she wanted. What do you guys put in that stuff anyways? I know we will be opponents in the coming years, but I just want to say I have a great deal of respect for you and the Hawks organization. You are committed and I think you are on the right path. Ohio needs more of that type of commitment. Thanks, Jim Rothwell 12u Classics

P.S. Do you think the first time Alyssa faces KK we could talk Larry into not throwing that change up of hers? That thing is devastating!!

Mike has done a great job in building a solid 12u team ... they are hitters and Coach Herman has done a super job of bringing both of his pitchers along... Just heard from the Lasers 98 Red team, they are coming down this weekend to play Mike's and my team on Sat night and Sunday morning... more great softball... can't wait.

We are coming over for the 12u friendly on April 3rd (she will be a guest player for the 97 Dragons-always looking for that next game you know), hopefully the schedule will allow us to hook up, it would make for a good game. You do a great job Mike, your girls really respond to you. Ashley (I believe that was her name) is only going to get better. She did very well. Hopefully we'll see you on 4/3 (weather permitting). Thanks, Jim

Had the Lasers 98 Red in this weekend for some games with my Hawks 98 Black and Mike's Hawks 97 team ... we had a lot of fun and 4 good games. Lasers kids and parents were top notch, made some new friends.

We played shaky Sat night - girls were nervous and played tight - Lasers pressure on the bases forced us into errors, AP pitched great for the Red. We turned it around Sunday, playing 5 innings of great ball, to pull out a win in a tight game. Great experience for both teams - makes us all better, looking forward to those 12u laser friendlies this spring.
