I think she may play for Wolfpack now. I believe Jodi and some of her Buckeye Charge players joined up with Jamie Wolff

I respect Darin and his team but in my head and my head only, I didn’t vote for them or the Stingrays because they haven’t played and aren’t going to play until early to mid May.

I must have missed them. Was watching the Super Pool games everyone was talking about. I really should have walked around the park a little more but hurt my back going down this rocky waterside in Puerto Rico. The girls down there play some really good ball too. Some really good kids will be coming to the states soon.

You have to realize that so many of the coaches call each team something different.. Some put birth year and some put last name... some don't put anything but the organization name and I have to figure it out.. I guess I could just report each team how they are voted on but then there would be multiple teams that are named different but actually the same.... In the first week it is a good opportunity to let me know how you want your team name listed so that things run more smoothly in future weeks..

Thanks Oiler. As an advance scout traveling all the time it makes it easier to watch who should be watched. I tell you what though, these moms sure get on the Umps up here in Ohio. And yes they are out there!

Parents and Fans will learn real quickly this year!!!
There will be a ZERO TOLERENCE Policy with most TD's and associations!
So anyone giving an Ump the slightest bit of flack or harassment may find themselves in the parking lot this year!!!
It’s good for the ump to set the tone early, but it only works if they can show they are competent. I’m not even the type that gets mad at umps. I see no point in it. But I do see why some people get so upset.

Thank you all for clarifying the voting for this week. We've played 8 games this spring and we have to continue to get better just to keep up with the excellent level play at the 12u level in Ohio.
This is my second go around in FP softball, and the high level of talent/training/coaching at the 12u level from 9 years ago to now is awesome and fun to watch.
We look forward to an enjoyable competitive season coming up.

Were they over rated in the preseason poll when you were ranked and thanking everyone for the votes?

yeah ICE - new guy... IMO they are over rated now and were over rated pre season. you want to be a smart guy it seems like. Thats ok... been here awhile and seen alot. Polls are polls. i think you all get too wound up. lol
Imagine if the coaches votes were visible. You all would be throwing haymakers at the games! lol chill. this is for the kids not for coach chest bumping. I dont waste time putting up my friendly scores or scrimmages or last fall, or winter indoor gplex 60 minute drop dead scores. In those games, the last thing I am concerned about is the score. I am more focused on developing new players at new positions because in my case... my team is all new. By the way.... I have the left over Charge 08 players (and glad you all left them behind) We will and are still putting things together... its gonna take a few touneys until we get the chemistry pumping and last weekend we were still missing a couple really good players due to school track and such. But i know many others are too.....so no excuses here and never will be any. back when my kids were young i remember you pretty much had to earn bids to nationals and the idea was keep getting better all season long to get a bid and go do some damage at Nationals. Now anybody can go almost anywhere to a open Nationals without a bid, so things have changed.
and to your comment -- 12u polls are overrated now and preseason. Thanks for asking. Personally I think a monthly poll would be more accurate. Once school sports are done and everyone teams get their full roster... then we can talk who is the best this week or next week.

This Poll is truly laughable.....You have teams that have hardly played leading the poll. Then you have teams ranked higher than teams that have beaten them.

Love it!! 10s and 12s get so ruffled. Makes me want to move back down after next season when my team is graduated and committed to schools.
I still feel the only TRUE ranking system would be like the Travel softball rankings I posted a ways back. This takes in to consideration strength of schedule, wins losses, opponents, runs scored, & runs allowed. Problem is not all tournaments report to the site. If ALL reported it would be Fantastic!
I agree the only other way of getting TRUE voting would be open public voting. Who’s voting for who. Show your cards. Take away the politics bullsh*t.
I believe strength of schedule should have a lot to do with these polls. Wins & losses some. Runs scored and runs allowed a lot. Any of these teams can get a win over the other on any given weekend. My main thing would be strength of schedule. If your playing in a little tournament with a bunch of turds and go undefeated then what’s that make you?? A polished Turd. If you play in an Event with ALL the top dogs and you got 2-3 or whatever you are still better than that polished turd till they prove otherwise.

I’ve made two comments on THIS thread. I’ve NEVER mentioned Buckeye Charge?! Your view or tone just seemed a little different from this week to last week. So what do I need to chill about?
