Bink44, I would love to come down there and play but unfortunatey I cant do that at this time. Our schedule has pretty much already been made, as tournaments were filling up we picked the ones we thought would be competetive and entered them. It was unknown at the time which teams were the top ones, and we still dont know. We are playing in 12 tournaments for the 08 season along with Nationals. There are some excellent tournaments between Akron, Cleveland and Pittsburgh that offer great competition for us to play in. If we knew earlier about getting certain teams together we would have loved to take part in that. There will be other opportunities. But when tournaments look like this its hard to pass up....

Bink44, I think it is a fabulous idea to try to get all the top teams into the same tournament. The philosphy I use for my team (Cincy Static Black) is you only get better by playing the best. From a growth perspective, I'd rather lose a game 2-1 against a great team than win a game 20-0 against a poor team. Wow - that was hard for me to say but it is the best scenario of the two if you are trying to make each girl a better softball player.

As far as the 4/19-20 goes, we are already committed to play in Hebron in an ASA qualifer - it was the only tourny at the time that allowed us to play before we play down in Nashville the following week in a NSA qualifer.

We do have 2 weekends open in May, 1 in June & 1 in July. I would be thrilled to play in this type of tourny if one could get it together. It would be a great learning experience for our team as it would show my girls what it takes if they are to ever to have the stature of the other teams that were mentioned. My team is young from an experience standpoint & has a long way to go & playing against the best will help them grow faster. Best of luck to everyone in '08!

Your exactly right on your analogy of playing solid teams. You should see alot of that on your trip down to Nashville. Good luck...hope you represent well and bring back some hardware.

We're in the Hebron tourney on 4/19-4/20 and it is not an ASA qualifier.

I am really ticked... I told all parents of the BTBICP team to keep a lid on all (I mean ALL) of the players from the 12U team playing 18U... thetruth... you had to let the cat out of the bag didn't you... No more trips to our concession stand for you (once the ATF allows us to open again) That is what happens when you allow cousins to play on the same team.....

Well... OK... they are all cousins but I AM the oldest cousin and that should mean respect.

just got back from a 9 day florida vacation and have to say I'm suprised at how many people got riled up about Truth 08's obvious troll attempt. Pure nonsense.

I did a quick search on the ASA tourney threads and did'nt see any thread about the ASA state event , where and when is it ? The Wild Thangs are planning on doing athe NSA state -natl' combo but it's not set in stone. As a parent I'm not that thrilled with the setup for the NSA event . Playing 3-4 games over 3-4 days just does'nt sound like a good investment of our vacation time/ money / effort. Maybe I'm just being whiny . MD

Alex Cox 12u pitcher from Piqua middle school struck out 13 out of 15 girls today against Houston. It was a no hitter. I think the score was 14-1 ?

We were in the same tourney in Columbus. The 11U's were at Rivershore Park do not know how they did.
