Has anyone heard anything about the 18u ASA states this year , i know classics turned it down so who is having it.

It went out for a re-bid. I do not believe that it has been set yet. I will check and get back with you tomorrow.

we'll thepeople that are doing 16u should grab it and make them both at the same place the same weekend. Think of the College draw that would be.

We gave it back cause we didn't get both - some miscomunication along the way, I believe. I can't run a 18u Tourney and coach 16u. I could have run a 16u and 18u tourney though.

BTW Compuware is an 18U ASA Qualifier.

Does that mean that they're lifting their ban on college players at 18U, and eliminating the "invitation" part of the process?

The 18U State tournament has not been awarded as of today. I just talked to Warren and he is still working on straightening up some conflicts.

yes bear... they are allowing teams with college players, they don't want 16u teams playing up and they have worked out a restriction on the number of teams allowed wit ASA so there still wil be a deadline.

The 18U State Tournament WILL be held June 12, 13, 14, 2009. I was told tonight from my ASA Rep. He did NOT tell me who was going to host it!!!


ALSO the ASA 18U Region 9 Qualifier will be held in Massillon on June 26, 27, 28, 2009!

The Best of the Best Summer Showcase will be posted I hope by the end of the week. But Tentative dates will be:

June 18, 19, 20, 21.... Same weekend as Compuware (BOYCOTT COMPUWARE)

or

July 3, 4, 5, 6, 2009......Same as last year!!!
