DD will be there Sunday morning for advanced pitching. I'll be sure to get in line for autographs Hillbilly...LOL ;D BTW...I was born in Conneaut...are you anywhere near there? Longing for those icy shores. :)

I made just enough money to cover my daughters pizza cost in autograph sales today,LOL!
I live near the Sandusky/Huron area, about 15 minutes south of both towns. I reside in the big city of Norwalk. Ive been to Conneaut a few times in my day. Nice town there right of the lake, there in the corner of the state. Our church youth group used to go there once a year (in the spring) for convention. Also drive by there when I head toward Niagara Falls off route 90.

Daughter enjoyed her time there today at the advance pitching part of the clinic. To get tips from the OSU players and coaches, and to run into players she played against last summer was neat for her. Also gave her a chance to get some throwing action in during her busy basketball season.

Hey Sun Dragon...............

I saw little Dragons running all over the place today. Look like the Ohio Dragons were taking over the clinic! :D

What did your DD think of the vision training?
The vision training wasn't her favorite part. During the batting session, she liked base running and sliding! Because stealing home is the....
Best Thing EVER!

I thought the camp went real well. I was there for the pitching and hitting sections on Sat. We have to really appreciate the Ohio Sate Coaching Staff and the University itself for allowing our daughters to have an opportunity and training like this.

I would have to say that my DD enjoyed chasing the players around to get their autographs on the $120.00 poster. ;D

I enjoyed a trip down memory lane. Tommys on Lane Ave. :D

DD had a good time at the advanced pitching session this morning....definitely cool to be with the OSU players in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center... ? ?Can you tell it was our first time? ?There were a ton of girls, but I thought they handled the numbers well, moving everyone through stations pretty efficiently, but still giving attention to everyone. ?It was also fun to see people you typically see only in the summer, and of course, meet some new ones. ?I think it would be fun if people had name tags w/ their OFC logins when we're at these things. ?:) ?

Had someone tell me there was a young lady at the catching clinic from Rhode Island on Saturday! ?Now that's a trip. ?

Did anyone else need to soak in the tub after catching for those 2 hours? ? ;D ?I'm just glad I didn't take a shot off the chin or anything else embarassing!

The catcher that was paired with my DD DROVE in from Iowa and there were several pitchers there that flew in from Texas....well,... it is Ohio State! ?;-)

DD had a great time and was not as sore as I thought she would be! She even had two of the top 3 "pop" times the coaches said. ??DD said she actually felt pretty good. ?She had also caught 4 games on Saturday (her choice - coach tried to give her a break and she wouldn't take it) with the last 3 being back to back to back in the late afternoon/evening including the Championship game. ?Then we drug her out of bed at 5:30 AM to drive to Columbus. ?I tried to count how many catchers (too many pitchers for me to even try to count!) and I came up with 33 - 35? ?My eyes are not so good and the catchers kept moving around! ? ;D ;D

I realize this is risky on here, but here goes.....

I looked at OSU's roster from last year and 5 of 18 were from Ohio. This year, 8 of 18 are from Ohio. Hopefully the ratio will continue to improve.

considering the osu roster, thought it was interesting that ohio state:
1. signed only two players in the early period in nov.
2. both players were from calif.

the trend to stay with ohio kids may be reversing itself
