For Sunday, that would have been her 3rd game, the Cyclones pitcher was on her 2nd. EMR pitcher pitched 8 games over 3 days, Cyclones pitcher 5 games. Is it fair to imply that the Cyclones batters faced a lesser pitcher because the pitcher pitched 1 more game on each of the 3 days than the pitcher the EMR batters faced?

The EMR players were tough as nails and their coaches one of the most positive we have faced. The pitcher and that defense, no matter how many games they had played, were the best I saw out there. :yahoo:

Too bad someone has to create an account on here today to try and lessen the Cyclone win.

Did I miss something? In reading the posts, I don't see where anyone said anything about any team getting a break because they faced a pitcher who has pitched a lot of games.

What I did see was a post asking if it is ethically right to throw a single pitcher 8 games in a weekend. I think it is a good question and maybe it should have it's own thread.

I am sure she was the same pitcher HH Roadwarriors faced the game before at 1:45 and she did a great job, she kept our big hitters from driving in 9 base runners. EMR and Cyclones are both great teams with great coaches. Congrats to Cyclones on the win! Good Luck to both teams on the rest of your season!

We were hoping to meet up with you in the finals but just couldn't get the runs across that we needed against EMR. Good Luck to you and your team also. The EMR pitcher was tough! Moved the ball all over. EMR centerfielder and 2nd baseman had diving espn catches. At this point in the summer, I think most teams are facing injuries, roadrash from sliding, sore arms, etc. It's not easy to play 8 games in 3 days with 80+ temperatures. You have to stay sharp each day. Its EASY to go 5-0 in pool and then lose the first one and go home. Come on it happens to all of us at one time. What I did see were great teams with great coaching. We as coaches/parents need to remember that it should be fun. I always tell my girls that if you look around the park and you see empty fields cause you are still in the tourny, there is no better feeling. The 16U division is alive and well in Ohio! To add a note, the Storm head coach constantly complimented my players during the game. I thank you and that shows how much class you have! My hats off to you. Time to rest up and keep on playin...

Brett, this is a sign of a great coach/teacher. The great coaches of any team love to see kids of any team making great plays, completing the learning cycle.

It also sends a great signal to the kids that evryone out here what her so succeed.

I just wish that I could see more of this.
