2011 Ohio Stingrays Showcase 18U Scores

18U Pools & Brackets are now posted in electronic form on the Stingrays website. You can also click on any team's name and see a listing of all the games that they play (updated automatically during bracket play).

For the first time this year, scores will be automatically posted to Twitter as well using the @StingraysTourn username and #stingraystournament hash tag. This will allow everyone another method of viewing scores as they come in without the need to load the full bracket or pool in a web browser. Follow @StingraysTourn and get updates sent directly to you.

Oh, wait until you see how really cool it gets. Obsidian has developed a phenomenal software for this tournament and as HilliardDad said recently, Obsidian should be marketing it to other big-draw tournaments, who would be well-advised to use it.

Above it says that pool play begins at 9:00 pm. Is this true? I thought it was a one hour delay. Can somebody help me out? Thanks

On the stingray tournament page it states that Beekman and Coffey fields are on a 6 hour delay and there now will be 5 games played with no elimination bracket. Winners will be determined by their record. Pickerington is running on schedule.

Some of the teams at the bottom were drummed. Was the top end that loaded or were some of the better teams left out of the field for whatever reasons? I was thinking after seeing the initial field that five of the teams would be embarrassed. I was right on three of them but only because there were a couple of teams I never heard of. While another two didn't do much but they weren't completely shelled.

Please remember that teams were allowed to bat their entire line-up if they wanted to and they weren't suppose to play any college players if they had any ;&. From what I saw, a lot of teams did this and it probably did play a small factor when it came to total wins.

The top teams were very dominating but there are some 1 and 2 loss teams that were also very tough. But then, when picking teams that you have never seen before, their resume can be misleading.
