Hey now. We host a tournament at Shady Park in North Ridgeville every year. The city workers do a great job to get them ready in the morning and then we as an organization are responsible for keeping them playable. We are allowed to buy and use diamond dry, rake fields, and reline them ourselves. Our parents and board have busted our butts every year to get in every game and we as an organization have always spent whatever it takes in diamond dry to keep the games going. One year I believe we bought and used 6 pallets for those 9 fields. Needless to say we didn't make much money at all that year, but the games were played.
Not to hijack the thread, but the city of North Ridgeville spent tens of thousands of dollars on those fields this spring and they played perfectly for us. I just don't want to be lumped in with anything being hosted at Victory Park. These are two separate complexes with much different rules for hosting. One is owned by the city and costs a pretty penny to rent (Shady Park) and the other is privately owned and whoever hosts is at the mercy of Victory Park.
