Getting some interest in 12U & 14U. Have not had a single call or e-mail about 10U so it may get scrapped.

Did get a nice Slugger package for both age groups. I would have posted it earlier but prefer to not "promise" what I do not have in my hands or storage.

I will post it later when I have a chance to check it against the packing slip.

Mike, any update on teams entered? Thanks!

Updated team that has entered.

This is a very nice complex and we have a nice prize package for both age groups.

If we can get to 6 teams, we will also add Slugger prizes for those individual teams as well. If we get to 8, we will also add 2 more sponsor awards.

To recap:

*4 g/g for $350*
*6 teams or less enter and top 2 teams get sponsor awards, and top 4 get Slugger prizes*
*8 teams or more enter and top 4 teams get sponsor awards and top 4 get Slugger prizes*

What more can you ask for? :)

We really want to get this one off the ground and make this a yearly event. Come join us and shake off the rust early this season!

We can go off with 4 teams. If we do stay at 4, we may look at doing a one day format. This way we don't tie up the entire weekend. We can do the same in 14U if if it makes.

If we can get a 5th team, I can go 4 pool games on Saturday and then a single-elim on Sunday. This way everyone gets 5 games guaranteed. I am flexible and just want everyone to have a good time and get games at this point.

I still intend to go with the prize package, etc. I really want to make sure we can build this up for future events and know that means taking very good care of the teams that are willing to stay in and play with us in two weeks.

Had a couple of teams inquire but not firm (or I would have listed them). Cut off is tomorrow night (weds) and I will be post times, etc after that.

Tried to hold out as long as possible to see if we could get the 6th team in 12U. 14U is not going to make as no others have inquired or sent fees. Like I posted before, we will add the 4th pool game to get everyone some value for hanging in there with us.

I would like to thank all of the teams that participated. The teams and parents were very nice and showed great sportmanship all weekend. The park did a great job at staying on top of touching up the fields and the concessions were reasonably priced.

The complex did inform me that we are welcome to come back the same weekend next year and make this an annual event, so we will start working on format, prizes, etc here in the next month or so. I think the 5 game format was a good value, but welcome any and all feedback. I am also open on how to get the 10u and 14u brackets off the ground. There are 2 real nice 10u size fields right near the entrance fenced at 150' that would be nice to put in play for that age group to participate on.

Results are below. Thanks for participating and good luck to the teams.

Mike, Thank You for the awesome weekend! Everything went very smooth, and the fields were re done every game! Our 10U Lasers had a great time. The only suggestion would be that they need to get you a golf cart. I think you wore a bare spot in the pathway going back and forth. Good seeing you this weekend !

Mike, I think getting this one scheduled earlier like you plan on doing now will get you more teams. We would have participated, but by the time the tournament was posted, we already had our schedule set. Glad it turned out well, and looking forward to it next year.
