Anyone know what the Rules are for Club teams

Anyone know what the rules are regarding club ball teams? Not sure what all the regs are for things like number of girls from 1 school, practicing etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Are looking for a specific rule?

Essentially, anything goes (# of school players on one team, etc.) from the time of your last high school game until the end of the summer.

Go to OHSAA.org if you have a few hours to waste. And bring an interpreter...

Sorry, We are thinking about a 7-8th grade club ball team but are not sure what any of the rules are regarding players. For instance... Can they still practice with their travel teams, how many from 1 school can you have. I am basically trying to find out as much info as I can so we don't screw anything up/ break rules etc.

If the middle school team is sanctioned then they may not practice or play with the team - we ran into that situation this year with four of our girls.... If the team is not sanctioned then they are free to practice and play in games....

I think we will try to do it non-sanctioned.

They can do whatever they like in the summer as far as number of players on the team, so long as it's not coached by the school coaches. Summer is basically June 1 to July 31.

What about in the Fall? Say the middle to end of Aug? Spring? This will not be coached by School coaches.

In our case - in GWOC - the league will forfeit the wins of any participant team (Club or NOT) if they find a player on that team has been participating on their travel team. We were a club team. I cut a player for doing so this past year and I saw another club team have 3 wins forfeited due to a player participating with her travel team.

Thanks for the info guys. Let me know if there is anything else I need to be thinking of. It would just be nice to get my DD and her classmates playing together just for a little bit before High School.
