That just flat out STINKS, to put it mildly. It's too bad that some loser(s) have to do something to put a damper on what otherwise hopefully is a trip your team remembers for a lifetime.

I hope they catch the low life(s).

This might sound crazy, but maybe contacting the media would be helpful. This would be a good story for the local news to broadcast on TV.

By chance, maybe someone would have seen the trailer, or would be suspicious of someone trying to sell used equipment, etc., and then in turn report this to the authorities.

Slammers were there and won the tourney in 09 in the 14u division. I just found the thread that we used to relay info to the OFCers who stayed in Ohio. If you search Slammers on the road to Oklahoma and the Hall of Fame tournament go to page 8 for a picture I took on the big field after the championship game.. Boy I can still remember it like it was yesterday. Good Luck to the Hawks on their journey out to the wild wild west and keep us updated on your progress. I was your umpire during the winter at all stars and this team has a real shot of bringing home the gold again.

btw.. 6 of these former slammers girls will be playing together this summer

I have not read all the posts, but did see that some were talking about qualifiers to get there and the lack of them being held. Bill wanted to go, so he made the qualifier HAPPEN in Ohio.

If you want to attend this next year, then you need to start planning now. Get in touch with the ASA and find out what is needed. Trust me, not as much as you think. But plan on attendance being low. Not a lot of teams want to go to Oklahoma for three days.

Good idea Merlion, I'm sure that the media would love to get ahold of this. And ASA would probably push for resolve as well so it doesn't tarnish the event for the future. The public can do great things if they know about it.

Good suggestion. Also, contact any local dealers of used sporting goods (e.g. Play It Again Sports). Someone broke into our JV equipment bin and we were able to recover most of the stolen goods from a local store. The owner wasn't there when it came in, but he gave us the gear back and we collected other used equipment so he could recoup the money he spent.

3 game - 3 elimination .. we got a bye til the 3pm Friday game ... I wonder who made that draw - was it really blind? What if we got a bad pool? I made the mistake of signing up for text updates for the gold tourney my dd is playing in Kansas City tonight. I just unsubscibed from it because it was too much.

I agree that all the TD's should post final brackets with scores filled in when the tourney concludes just for informational purposes at least.

Longest day of my life.... The girls were emotionally drained..the worth cobras put it on us in the third... We played the texas rip last night..big storm came thru..delayed us over an hour..we played better..lost 5 to 3 had bases loaded.. Last at bat and emily hit a shot that the ss snagged on the run. gets thru and we are tied...

Today was a new day..we showed up in our synch sack bat bags and won 9 to 1 over the atl vipers.. On to game 2!
