I can assure you that CZ was not the target of this thread. CZ just happened to find the need to speak on a topic that he had intimate knowledge about. I actually applaud him for not hiding once called on the carpet. The clowns that are the stars of this topic have remained suspiciously silent. We may have to send the Rangers in to flush them out.

Shouldnt have to flush them out if you would just say who the hell you are talking about. Seems you are playing some game at this point. Thanks for clearing CZ at least from the original post.

Grizzly, you are 12U it's not like you should be a threat with every player anyway so that doesn't hold water. As well as home runs aren't the dictator, line drives and laser ground balls are all the same as far as speed off the bat if not more important. Folks aren't worried about home runs. They are worried about their children at 30-60' away.

No game playing, just being extremely careful. I will not succumb to a mob mentality regarding this matter. Most people requesting names aren't even '01's, but they still want names. All the information is here for those who know what to look for. If you are an '01 team, and you played in Whitehall last week, then you should be able to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

If you need even more help, then look at the teams in Marion, and one in Beavercreek. Anything more than that will require a pm.

Folks, CZ has had many quality post on this forum. Did he make a bad business decision as a coach...I believe so, Could it effect his team and players maybe...
However; people make mistakes... it"s how they handle themselves after a mistake that matters..

As for the original poster...If he was not the intended target have some guts and come clean...Look at my previous post about the GREY area of life...
Unfortunately;we are now in a generation of grey areas...As Coach Dave pointed out to me to open my eyes to the bat problem...

After almost 30 years of coaching it is hard to think that the problems that have effected mens SP and boys BB are now entrenched in FP!

At 10/12U/14u/16u we had many battles vs. the WAVE, DOOM, MVX, LASERS, EMR, CLASSICS, WOLFPACK, BUCKEYE HEAT,OUTLAWS, DC, DREAMS, GATORS and MANY more... and, at NO time did I think a team had altered equipment and I hope they felt the same vs. us...

It is sad that as the corner is being turned and the younger coaches do not understand the values that made GIRLS FP what it was..or could be...

Knowing now there are several teams at this stage doing this... I apologize to coach Dave for my previous post of thinking it was not as wide spread as it apparently is at such a young age group...

Hopefully; the game can be cleaned up before it dries up!

As a long time OFC member and an NFCA member working many events that have the potential of your player/DD attending..
It does not matter to me if a person is with an 01 team, 1990 team or any team in-between when it come to safety and the
Integrity of the game!!! It is hard to take someone serious when they post about game safety being a top priority and then turn around and state I gave you some clues....
As a society we have become accustomed to hiding behind social media (not all but a lot) and it is hard for some to go onto the black and white area of life...
However; you will find once you do make this move, you will feel the relief and will become much more at ease with things that you can and cannot control...

Just to clear the air (since 01 teams & Marion were brought up) I coach Diamonds 01 Black based out of Marion, & we do not have any rolled or altered bats, nor have I ever offered to roll a players bat.

Obviously, I don't post on here much. This post is going to ramble on as I've seen numerous posts on this thread I'd like to discuss.

To the person that said only the xeno and lxt are hot out of the wrapper, absolutely not.
The new ASA softball for slowpitch is less lively, but it's because ASA now has the hottest bats on the market. There's a reason there are more bats now that are ASA sanctioned ONLY.
I in no way shape or form condone rolling a bat. However, with these bats you aren't necessarily accelerating the break in as much as you are breaking the bat in evenly. I could realistically achieve the same result via smacking the bat on a tractor tire a few times! However, anyone that rolls a bat is doing so at their risk, as it is illegal and should be punished if they do it. Shaving a bat is no doubt cheating, what's lost in the shaving discussion is that not only are you making it lighter, but the true advantage is how thin the walls become therefore increasing the trampoline effect.
I don't agree with a bat being taken just because a kid gets hit with it, I've played ball with guys who jack bombs with Easton Hammers, you give those guys a mildly hot bat and they mishit and go up the middle and hit a pitcher, it's going to drop them.
Here is my question to EVERYONE in this thread though.....we are all complaining about rolling, shaving, manipulating end loads, etc....... does anyone on this thread use a bat warmer???? Guess what.....by the way the rules are written, those are illegal too!

I believe most of the blame lies with the umpires and tournament directors. I was at a tournament earlier this afternoon and the umpires did not check one piece of equipment.
If they would check, it would make this practically a none issue.

The girl that hit the line drive back at the pitcher was my dd. so let's get this straight My dd Hope #1 the lefty pitcher as many people on this site refer to her as has never and will never use a rolledbat. you applaud CZ for rolled bats is this because he is apart of your orginization just in a different age group! So jack *** anytime you would like to check her bat please feel free to walk up to her dad or I and we would be happy to get them for. He is friends with another coach from the Liberty Township area, that offered select parents to have a bat fixed by sending them up north. Up north just happens to be a guy named Eddie, another friend of your coach. See how this all ties together. I would have brought names forward sooner, but when it's all said and done, without a smoking gun, it's all speculation. I have more on the subject, and I won't be hard to find.

I can assure you not a single player on our team has a rolled, shaved or altered bat. I'm sure this post has nothing to do with a player that left your team and sought my team out. Yes guys this is a witch hunt. Do I know people that rolls bats, of course just like many people on here know people that rolls bats as a service, but I can promise not a single girl on Ohio Storm 01 or any friend of mine from Liberty Township has a rolled bat!!! Good luck today, I think we play at 9am.

I do know that this is also starting from a text that was sent from a parent in your organization who is a problem and likes to cause drama. This is also why said parent is apart of your organization and no longer apart of ours.

Ok, I was NOT going to post on this thread, but it has been a VERY interesting read. The Liberty Blazers coach you are referring to, Butch Malone would NEVER do anything illegal or would put his players or any other player in harm's way. He is the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He is a very good teacher of fundamentals of the game. Like I said, I have known this guy and his family, as well as all of his team and their families for going on 4 years now. I feel the comments about him are not true at all. As you can see I am NOT a person affiliated with an '01 team. Please take this for what it is, my observations.

The only way to get rid of this is to do what they do in the slowpitch major level and test the bats before the tournament and the TD keeps the bats in a trash can all tournament and puts them at the backstop for your game. If you use a bat not in the trash can your team is gone and if you try to switch a bat out your team is gone. This also would get rid of the bats that exceed the limits of exit speed witch some bats that are old or have a ton of swings on them will fail the test. Yes this ****s to have to lose a good hot stock bat but when it exceeds the limits it is considered illegal. This sounds like a lot to do but its the only way to get rid of the altered or illegal bats to keep our children safe.

yes it is extreme but it didn't take long to get out of control in the slowpitch game so why not nip it in the rear now instead of waiting until it is bad like the slowpitch game did.
