Dear Ash,

Any team is beatable - if you watched the world series there was only one winner, but each and every one of those teams could have took home the hardware and are winners!

I don't think there is a "best" team out there, it just matters how bad you want it and how hard you play the game.

Good Luck to all 12U teams this year!

Mikemavs1, played both the Laser Green and MV Express and they are 2 of the best I've seen this year. And Ash, how about that Rampage team out of Western PA. now there tough.

we played them (they are all 12 except 1 i think) (we know them very well from former teams) they beat us 7-1 but it was 3-1 going into the final inning and we blew it...they can pitch, hit and do alot and are well coached. They are a great team and will do well at NSA nationals....however like any other team , they are beatable.

Ohio has a lot of good teams, we've played out of state and I'll have to say that the neighboring states like Indiana and Penn. have some very good teams too. It's great to see so many great teams in any age group from Ohio. ;)
B's Dad, Miami Valley Xpress 12U-Blue.

Correction.... Rampage 12u has 3 11 yr old players, and 1 10 yr old player on the 2005 roster. Also of the 12 yr olds, only 4 have any travel experience, all others are coming out of rec league fastpitch or that evil slowpitch thing.
Coach Joni

Also the thunderplex Rip it Up tournament was not one of our better performance weekends, as they say anything can happen on any given day.

And thanks bink44, we play as a team!

I've seen Cincy Doom play several times. They are a very tough team that is well coached. They can really hit the ball.

Any given day a good team can have a bad day. Either that or a good team has a hard time hitting slower pitcher. That happens alot. I watched a few games that a good team had a ton of pop outs in the infield because the hitters were not patient on the slower pitchers.

I have heard Cincy Doom is very good, as well as Express but have not seen them yet. We had the pleasure of playing Lasers who are very well balanced in N.Canton and split with them (I want to know what they feed those girls)
I also like the Valley Extreme team, great group of coaches and players.
And I agree anything can happen on any given day, it is nice to have alot of good competitive teams out there to play.

I'd have to give the edge to Miami Valley Express-Blue. Especially after seeing them go undefeated (8-0) at a strong Stingray tournament. They had to beat the Laser Green twice. And they beat the Cincy Doom 10-4 the weekend before in the Heatin It Up championship down in Cincinatti.

I can name a few teams that are very good and could be ranked among the best

(from OHio)

Miami Valley Express Blue
Lady Lasers Green
Ohio Ice
Valley Sting
Cincannati Doom
Valley Extreme

From PA

The best team weve played all year would have to be the Rampage. Another outstanding team weve played from PA is Pittsburgh Power (Colton)

It's about time that Ohio annexed Western PA! Now the Pittsburgh Power can be the best team in Ohio.

:) :)

Mike, seeing that a lot of these teams were at the Stingrays tourney last week and are also playing up at Compuware this weekend, have you had any updates on any good matchups so far?

Valley extreme 12u tied Miami valley 4-4. Miami Valley lost to Stingrays 7-2. Lasers Green lost to Compuware 10-2.

hum....i guess i would add valley extreme and stingray 12s to the best teams in ohio, seeing they beat/tied with the miami express at compuware?

prime example of how any team can be beat on any given day and all the teams in ohio are the best!!

GO OHIO TEAMS AND ATHLETES!

I'm not sure that they could be considered one of the best teams in Ohio, but the Marion Rebels have won the last two tourneys that they have played in. ?They went undefeated at the Thunderplex last weekend and won the Summer Rebellion tourney this weekend. ?Several weekends ago they lost a 1 run game to the older Stingrays team after leading most of the game. ?

The Ashland Smoke team is very talented also.

Neither team has been in the bigger tourneys that the above teams mentioned have been in, so its a little hard to judge.

The Best 12-U Team in Ohio is:_______

The winner is-----

The next team that is on the schedule. Play your best each and every game. Make adjustments to their pitching and defense. "He who hesitates has lost."

I would have to say the Ohio Naturals are one of the best teams in Ohio. After winning a tourney at Thunderplex and should've won a tourney at the Marion Summer Rebellion they are great. The only reason why they came in 2nd at Marion tourney was because there catcher (who is really good) got sick, so they had to put in there other catcher. Also one of there best players injured her knee and had to sit. Otherwise the Ohio Naturals are very talented and should be named one of the best teams in Ohio.
