Ok I'm bored at work ( where are all the sick people?) so I'll throw out this subjective thread lets go by each year of HS graduation and give an opinion on who is the best pitcher . No dads allowed .

2013
2014
2015
2016

that far enough to look down the road , too far probably .. I'll start 2015 I nominate Ms . T Alvelo Bloom-Carroll .. as far as this years class or 2014 ??

What about moms? Jk. IMHO, here are some contenders:

2013, Jocelyn Rivera
2014, Paige McMenemy
2015, Taran Alvelo & Shelby McCombs

McMenemy gave her verbal to University of Akron. I'm not sure about McCombs.

what makes them the best pitcher? how hard one can throw? Movement? Have each of these pitchers been benefited with a good defense behind them? What if a pitcher, say played for Hoover and only threw 50 mph. Never struck anyone out, but got everyone to hit ground balls or pop flys. There were no errors behind her in the field. Based on this, had five or six no hitters, would she be considered the best pitcher?

Elyria's pitcher threw 63 mph, but had a suspect defense behind her and had a record of 22 - 7? who might be considered better.

just for conversation.... no one in mind, just that conversations like this become very objective.

I hear there is a pitcher on the outlaws that might be a 2015 that is being looked at by Tennesse. Chyanne something. I would have to think she would be up there also.

Cheyenne Eggens from the Outlaws. She plays for Mathews, a DIV. I heard, however, that it is a different SEC school that is looking at her.

Chey is a great girl from a wonderful family and I think should be mentioned with this group.
I know she has drawn alot of intrest from some major D1 programs.

While this topic is fun to debate it's also very subjective to lots of different factors. To keep it simple just take any two pitchers and swap teams behind them. How would the teams do against one another? Take that average pitcher on a great team and swap with that great pitcher on an average team. I think we all know the answer......some pitchers do much more with a lot less.....

That being said, after watching what Slatten did at oak hills in the GMC, leading them to the regional finals against Lebanon, I'd go with Slatten for 2013 class.....not even close IMO

Dominating pitcher will be dominating no matter how you look at it. I.e. Jocelyn was special when I first saw her at age 10. I know not everyone pans out but she did.

Spang pitched for Road Runners Elite, Shermans team. I'm sure Blue Ice will agree she was one of the best, if not the best pitcher we faced all summer.

Agree with shockwave. Pitchers dual first time we faced her tied 0-0 with Shockwaves daughter ( might of been 1-1).

impressive pitcher, I think she pitched all the games against us except one (won that game 7-1) I think. LOL.

I believe Slatten signed with Texas. Last I heard she plays with the Louisville Lady Sluggers 18U.

Well, I believe the Paulson girls are considered CA products now, so it should be long enough.

I got to enjoy watching lauren pitch when she came to Ohio, when she joined are team the valley storm. I have seen a few of the top pitchers and lauren in my openion is #1 in 2013 class. At that time she was playing up in the 18U division and she was the best pitcher I had seen all year. She does not have to be considered an ohio product to be the best in ohio. She took a team in Oak hills that was expected to finish lower in the gmc standings and she took them to the regional finals.
