2014 Spano Dome Defensive Clinics
Bob Hoiles and Jenna Lilley will be conducting the clinics in two four-week blocks.

Students will learn infield techniques developed by Howard Kobata in southern California. Session I classes will start with the basics of catching and throwing and progress into more advanced skills. Session II will build on what students learn in the first session with an emphasis on performing infield techniques with speed.
Bob Hoiles has taught Kobata's infield techniques to nearly 1,000 girls. His former students have had 9 top-10 finishes at ASA USA and PGF nationals and now play at D1 colleges including Ohio State, Kent State, Toledo and Akron. Bob is the only defensive skills instructor in Ohio recommended by Howard Kobata and is head coach of Beverly Bandits Team Demarini 14U.
Jenna Lilley, a senior at North Canton Hoover High School, was recently voted the best high school senior softball player in the United States. She has helped Hoover win three successive state softball titles and was Ohio Gatorade Player of the year in 2013. She will attend Oregon on a softball scholarship. Jenna is in her fourth year of playing 18 Gold-level softball with Beverly Bandits Team Conroy.
Classes are open to players 8 to 16 years old. Students will be divided into age-appropriate groups. Bob and Jenna will be assisted by other experienced players and coaches. Every student will receive personal instruction from Bob and Jenna. Cost is $20 per two-hour class. Class size is limited;pre-registration is recommended. The Spano Dome is located at 2595 Presser Rd., Akron.
