What’s the best way to livestream to Facebook? We are interested in live-streaming in a private group just for family members who can’t be at games. That’s all. Did a test live stream with an older iPhone and it works, but it’s old and barely has enough battery for one game. So other than an iPhone, what kind of camera is easiest to Facebook livestream?

I have found that your phone with wide angle lens attachment works best. They do make some action cameras that offer streaming but the apps are not great and they don't always work. Game changer now has a live stream option that is worth trying. Yourgamecam.com is also another option for live streaming it is compatible with GoPro.

You said just for families, but in the event a coach is interested in video. I was told by several DI and DII coaches they would prefer an edited version of the game film to cut down on the time to view the games. Many suggested between inning stats with a running scoreboard in the corner. It's not hard to edit out everything but the action.
I use Corel Video Studio Pro. It's easy to use with included instruction videos. I was editing videos in 15 minutes. The longest part is uploading the video when it's done.

Good luck to you. Let me know how it goes and what you decided to use.

I use a Mevo Start which does a very nice job. I've heard an older Mevo Plus is a better option and less expensive if you can find one. Once again, you need extra external batteries or a charge in between games. I use this one Amazon.com: Solar Charger 26800mAh, Riapow Solar Power Bank 4 Outputs USB C Quick Charge Qi Wireless Portable Charger with LED Flashlight for iPhone, Tablet, Samsung and Outdoor Camping . or just buy this or something similar and continue to use your phone which is probably your cheapest option yet.

We recommend people stream with either a Smartphone or a Mevo and separately record with a GoPro. Smartphones work very well for streaming on a limited budget and reduced complexity. Mevo Start does a decent job but is limited in resolution if you have to zoom or recompose. Mevo Plus is a great camera with higher resolution, but is discontinued and hard to find. GoPro's aren't a good option for streaming because they only allow the ultra wide Field Of View (FOV). It pushes the action back and almost always includes fence in the shot. But for recording, the HERO8 or HERO9 are the gold standard.

How do you create separation from the fence (and thus protection) when using a Mevo on a LinkSpyder? It just seems like the LinkSpyder holds the camera too close to the fence. I don't want the last thing my camera sees to be a foul ball. Thanks.

A couple of things:
First, because the Mevo Start is not a very wide lens, pulling it off the fence is possible.
Second, for high velocity ball, we recommend our adapter mount and not the articulating arm. This provides a very rigid mount.

And for the Mevo Plus, mounting directly to our bar is possible, and just as rigid as the Start on the adapter.

Josh, nice to see you on here. I'll have lots of questions throughout the Summer for you:)

Smart phones seem to do the best and are the easiest to upload videos to other places

I finally splurged a bit and bought a lynkspyder for my use. I used a flexible tripod for a while, it broke. I bought a nice adjustable arm in the fall, it works well. The lynkspyder for 49 was the right price. I believe I looked at them a couple years ago and they were $60-80, or I was just being tight. I will get plenty of use with school ball and then travel ball. I’m still using an AKASO camera though...I am going to upgrade soon to live stream and possibly a camera in centerfield....is it worth having 2 cameras?
