Thanks to all the Static coaches, players and parents for letting me join a great organization. Our run has officially ended in Orlando and now it is time to once again build a quality team with a high caliber organization. Along with me, Paul Moore, comes Dave Hixon - pitching and outfield coach and my oldest daughter Cortney Moore whom just signed with Urbana University on a scholarship and will also help out with pitchers and catchers. I will be instructing the infield and over looking the rest. We are officially ready to get started come tryouts. I will be posting more info at a later date but please keep in mind in advance that these tryouts are not only for the talented young ladies but for the parents as well. I want all to be in this for the right reason. Once again, thanks to all and I look forward to seeing everyone very soon.

As I had Les post above, we (Static '97) will be adding another pitcher, catcher, 3rd/ss although most (except 1) are returning from this year's team. We are expanding our roster so that we have the depth to compete in the highest level tourneys inside & outside of Ohio (Colorado, PGF Quals, Sparks, Lasers, States, Stingrays, GAPSS) to insure we get our players to play against the top competition as well as getting as many college eyes on them as possible.

The 2012 team was 46-13 winning the Dayton Metro, Fire in the Sky, & the 16/18U Cincy World Series, 2nd GAPSS, 2nd 18U A Sluggerfest while playing in the ASA/USA nationals as well in OK at the ASA HOF tourny. Further, our Fall (Sept -Oct) schedule is filled w/ college exposure tourneys (4-6) & we will continue to go to college camps/clinics/tourney from Nov - Feb. Also, girls are chosen for this team to play, not sit or to be a financial help - this has always been my comittment & will always be.

Finally, I will not be present at our first organizational tryout as I am currently on vacation w/ my family - the only week I get with them in the summer due to softball. However, the rest of the my coaching staff will be there to evaluate so dont hesitate to come especially if this is the only date you can make. They have full authority to make offers in my absence. The STATIC will also be fielding an 18O team in 2013 coached by coach Rob. This team will play a few Summer 18O-23U tournaments to stay sharp for college or for those that want to keep playing after HS graduation.

Dennis Hogel will be coaching the College Exposure team again in 2013 along with Kenny MCelroy and Charles Smith.
We had a great year with 8 of our 14 going on to play at the next level and are hoping to get 3 more signed this fall!

With so many going onto college including 2 of our 3 pitchers we will be looking for a variety of players..We are set at the Catching position, Third and First Base...
Our fall schedule includes the Gold Diamond Exposure tournament in Chattanooga TN and several scrimmages again with NAIA schools and a local tournament.

Our Summer schedule will consist of 6 of the highest quality exposure events we are able to attend... The past few years our Exposure teams have attended some of the bigger events available including: Stingrays, Orland Park Sparks, Best of Best, GAPSS, Buckeye Showdown, Music City Hits, Gold Diamond showcase...Tanel top 50

Our 16U/18U teams also helps the ladies understand e-marketing, building quality profiles, how to get better scores on the ACT, as well as other scholarship opportunities outside of athletic scholarships!!! Not to mention some fine tuning of their Hitting and fielding...

Static 97 North will be holding open tryouts with the exception of only needing one more pitcher. We are looking for speed and slappers and would love to have two catchers. Our schedule will be similar to static 97 Morgans. Looking to carry 12 players and all is going to play, not in this to waste anybody's time or money. Once this team is established there will be alot of work to do in a quick manner. Uniform sizes and getting them ordered pronto is a must. This team will have 2 pair of pants, 4 pair of socks, 3 jerseys and helmets. We will probably order t-shirts and maybe a pair of pants to get going for fall if able as I am one that does not discourage kids from other sports. Tournaments looking to play in are asa states, stingrays, gapps, dayton metro, pgf qualifiers and nationals. Needs 6 players total. Open positions and open tryout for remaining spots.

He has a new coaching staff that can dedicate more time than in the past so this is a good move and matches our prior comments about being too many teams (within the Static) vs quality that I eluded to before. They will play in college exposure events as well as other tournaments. Will play this fall and potentially in a league if they find one that suits their needs.

If we can't get an 11u coach, this may be hole for us for the next season. Rather have quality coach vs a massive quantity of teams with lower level training. Does us or the sport no good in our opinion. So, as things evolve, they may change as well.

This was a comment about the Static and Static choices only. Not eluding to other teams/org's. Sorry if this was misleading and made people jump to conclusions.

Static 98 roster is set. I'll email all registered players to let them know before 5:00pm today. I will say that if the "perfect" pitcher comes along, we will take a very hard look at adding a 12th player and is a remote chance of happening. This sounds snobby, but, it will have to be the right circumstances and it would be fully discussed with our team and parents before we do so. Chemistry is key and we work through these items as a unit. Just a heads up on how this team handles this issue.

One may ask if a '98 player has a shot at other Static teams. As far as the playing on the '99 team, not yet but this is tryout dependent. The '99 team is trying to lock in all '99's. If the player wants to take a tryout for the '99 team and have the evaluation on record in the event an opening becomes available for the '98 birth year, you'll be set. If the player wants shot at the '97 team that is still a possibility and will be up to that coaching staff to evaluate and decide.
