Coaches, do you socialize with the parents during out of town tourneys?

We do. We have some pretty cool people as parents and we enjoy hanging out with them.

I would think you to be a fool if you didn't socialize or interact in some respect. It's the perfect time for the parents to become more comfortable with you and your personality and vice versa.

Unfortunately they want to socialize with me, especially the mothers. I had one (not my wife) text me "that she loved me." I just had one in Florida state I was looking very hot!!! I had yet another take my pants off. It's hard to coach and be a Cougar Magnet.

Fortunately, I don't have your problem being a Cougar Magnet so I can stay up and party with the parents without wardrobe malfunctions and the Cougars sexting me constantly.

I always did. Just whatever came natural. I remain very good friends with some of the dads from my last team that ended in 2008 and we talk all the time and go out when I return to Ohio.

I don't really do it at the college level, as it just isn't natural and the parents often aren't around anyway when we're on the road. Hanging out with friends when on the road is the thing I miss most in my transition from travel to college ball. Going on the road in college is mostly boring during the evenings.
