I hate it if someone makes that decision after tryouts, but at the end of the day - do you really want a kid who doesn't want to be there??? I don't. The signed rosters mean little or nothing unless you at major sanctioned tournament. Some coaches and even organizations will approach a kid at a tournament. I had it happen last year, Lester had it happen too (same coach). Loyalty is a hard to find two-way street, but at the end of the day commit to those who commit to you and remember it is about the girls.
this topic gets discussed all the time. This action happens all the time. But, it also goes the other way many times. Dad's of players on one team trying and prying to get a team to take them.
exactly. It is a game... but one that needs to have balance. Balance doesn't come with holding onto players just because you can unless you have a real control complex and in these days and times you get labeled, and in many cases labeled properly.

Get a kick out of this. It's great if the coaches are recruiting the girls for your team, but ****s if they are trying to recruit off of your team. Part of the game. Players don't leave if they are happy. Period.
