Just curious as to why there aren't any top ten polls above the 12u age. Is it because no one stepped up to run them or is 13u the age where team's parent's, player's and coaches stop caring about what everyone else think's? If I have overlooked the poll's I apologize in advance.

Maybe that is the age when the parents and coaches realize that the polls are nothing more than fun conversation pieces. You only get a hand full of coaches that vote anyway and if they haven't seen your team then they have no idea if you are good or not. At the 10 and 12u levels most teams could win on any given day because you are dealing with 10 and 12 year old kids. In any case by the time your DD get to the 13u level most people realize that the polls don't mean diddly.

It's all about getting recruited if you want to play at the next level. They still want to be the best but not as important.

at older ages the teams know what they need to know... and after the games have beaten each and every coach and player down due to playing an estimated 250-450 games in the years prior... just get - r- done on the field is all they have energy left to exert. Even the parents give up. All are "conditioned" and somewhat game proven and they know who is who. And their chests are tired from all the thumpin in the younger years.

Those that played 10u for 3 years... they all have collapsed lungs still to this day.
