Ohio softball is back on May 26!!!
I think I might have a tear in my eye!
Today is a good day!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever it takes to play. USSSA already has their rules. Not bad.So, I missed it bc I was on the phone at work. Are we back to playing normal ball or are there going to be new rules and wearing of medical masks LOL not face masks etc?

Specifically what the Lt Governor said was that the school grounds were never closed, it was just the buildings, so the grounds are actually technically open now and that it would be up to each of the various school districts and municipal govts as to whether they allow access to those grounds for softball, baseball tourneys Etc. For instance, my daughter played on the Classics in 10U ball and we practiced at Pickerington Central along with sponsoring a tourney there and playing in another one at North and Central. I know our travel team this year is scheduled to play tourneys in Pickerington two times this summer, so it will be up to Central and North along with Pickerington municipality as to whether those fields can be used.In the press conference they also mentioned that the Acton order for schools to be closed until June 30th applies specifically to the buildings and that the ground (fields) should be able to open sooner.

our school district sent out multiple emails and enforcement people that made it very clear that all school facilities were closed. be that fields, courts, etc. ALL closed and many were booted off.
Ohio's guidelines are out...

I'm not loving the face covering for coaches at all times and the players when they are not in the field of play, but overall, i don't feel they are too restrictive where we can't have tournaments.
