Team that was slighted due to TD not knowing their own rules. Drop dead/Revert back rule reads, "Game reverted back only when the home team hadn't came to bat and changed the score to a tie or going ahead when time expired." In this instance, the home team tied the game and time expired. Umpire called tie game. This was deciding game of pool play, with a tie. Team that was visitor advances to gold bracket. Unfortunatly TD heard an argument from a parent in defense of home team w/out visitors coach present and reversed the tie call and called visitor 10 minutes before warm-up of originally awarded bracket game. TD was called by visiting coach to clarify their poor judgement, but was told their interpretation was correct but they won't be doing it that way next year. IMOP, why go back they blew it?

Unless the Home Team was ahead the previous inning, then Visitors went up at top of inning that Home team managed to tie - It would only benefit the Visitors if Tie was Reversed......Was that the case?

i was present at this tournament when score was posted, it was explained thoroughly to the coach(visiting team) on why the score would be considered a tie, and everyone seemed to agree. It is a bad situation when a parent can come argue and get it reversed. This pool play W-L-T records were so close, this flip flop decision would have also affected the #3 seed team, hence moving them up to #2 considering runs allowed.

The visiting team went ahead in top of half of inning, then home team tied it just before time expired ,if home team knew the jest of the rule he could have stalled more than he did and left them loaded for the win. When they scored to tie they changed the outcome per the rules, which were incorrectly interpreted.
