If first base is occupied, no outs or one out, but the player is in the process of stealing second thus vacating first base, does the batter runner still get the chance to advance on a dropped third strike?

If first base is occupied, no outs or one out, but the player is in the process of stealing second thus vacating first base, does the batter runner still get the chance to advance on a dropped third strike?

The base that the runner occupies prior to the pitch is what determines this.
