I received a PM from the parent I referred to earlier in the post and I would like to apologize on here as I did in my response directly to her. I played for a team for 5 years that hosted their own tournament and without the parents, it would have been impossible.
As a coach, I was frustrated with how things started, and it was not her fault that she was not fully informed. I should not have directed any comments to her, and for that, I completely apologize. I fully realize how much hard work goes into hosting a tournament. The Crusher parents were extremely nice to my team and parents; I had a player who I thought broke 2 fingers and they were more than willing to help me out if needed and showed great concern for her well-being. So, again, I'm sorry if I offended you.
On a brighter note for the Eastlake tourney--it was one of the cleanest tourney's I've been too. The bathrooms were very clean, the garbage was removed regularly and the area surrounding the fields in general were "well-groomed." The concession prices were reasonable as well and they had some very neat items for sale at the tourney (from t-shirts to magnets to key chains, etc). There were a lot of teams entered into this tourney and they managed to keep everything on time for the most part and there was also a little play ground (at least at the Central Park fields) for the little kids to play on), and there was plenty of shade as well. So in that regard, the tourney was good.
