We are trying to put together our fall schedule. I checked a few tournaments on the 2008 OFC that were described as qualifiers for the Eastern Nationals tournament, but the links to the sites were broken, making me think that perhaps the tournament was not going forward. From posts on the ASA Tournaments section of OFC, I know that the Lady Liberty are putting on an Eastern Nationals tournament in September, but I don't see anything else. I'd appreciate the benefit of the knowledge of OFCers regarding any other tournaments that will qualify for ASA Easterns.
I'd also like to know if a team who wins a Eastern Nationals berth in a 12U fall tournament can use that berth to enter the Eastern Nationals at the next higher age group. For example, our girls are all still eligible to play 12 U this fall but will have to move up to 14U this summer. Could we enter a 12U fall qualifier tournament and, if we win, enter ASA Eastern Nationals next summer at the 14U age?
Thanks.
