Firestone Stadium/ Racers Foundation split

I just saw the agreement between the City of Akron and the Racers Foundation was not getting renewed. Does anyone know why this happened or what it means for this summer's slate of tournaments?

we need to pull together not only for Joey but for our GIRLS. In addition to rentals they are saying it will be a facility for our young boys! This is NOT first hand info but I personally think we need to protect our stadium for OUR GIRLS!!!!!!

The city of Akron is going to do what it thinks is best for Akron. It’s been years since I’ve been to a tournament during the summer there. Is it being used every weekend during the summer for softball?
If not why not hold baseball tournaments there.
