going yard at 12u

Congrats to Kayla Koch , 12u Wild Thangs for going yard last weekend (I'd been waiting forever for that moment and was gone out of town) 200 ft fence, my wife said it cleared it 20-30 feet. She hit 2 at 10u but it had been a while. What other 12u's have cleared a fence this year ? A fine player for the WV Mountain Thunder hit one several weeks ago in a game before ours but I'd guess the fence was about 180-190. Kaci Riffle was her name. MD

MD, I saw quite a few bounce off the top of the fence last weekend at the Sunraze tournament. None of them went over but were within 6 inches. I'd have to say that by looking those were some of the longest 200ft. fences I've seen. On some other fields there could of very easily have been 6 or 7 hit out in the 12u division.

Ill have to agree with you on that gunner they did seem deeper than 200'. Weve hit three out of the park so far this season and bounced 4 off the top rail. One was hit over the fence, over the road and hit the pitchers mound on another field. Beautiful shot.. too bad she swang for the fence the next two games and couldnt do anything with it.lol Nice to watch but boy do you have to do some coaching to bring them and the next girl up back to reality. ;D

Yeah I'll agree about the deeper fences, the Koch girl for us hit one off the fence three weeks ago , but the fences looked 210-220. The guy said they were 200 but it was the same TD who had his pitchers mound set at 43 feet for 14u. MD
