The number of participants will be limited to 60 on a first come first serve basis. Crystl and Howard have both asked for this limited number so that they, along with the other coaches, can provide more individualized training. There will be a maximum of 5 girls per station. The format will be a continuation of the Clinic given in November at Middletown High School.

Michael Bastian and Crystl will conduct a Coaches Clinic on Sunday open to as many coaches who want to learn from two of the most dynamic experts in the game of Softball today. The morning session will be devoted to offense and base running and the afternoon session will cover defense.

The Clinics will run from 9:00 AM till 4:00PM both days with a 1 hour lunch break. Concessions will be available both days. The length of the Coaches clinic will depend on the number of coaches attending.
The costs of the clinics are: $100 for the Hitting Clinic and $75 for the Coaches Clinic.

I'm pretty sure that is the same weekend as the OHSSCA clinic that is being held in Columbus. Might be a tough draw with this big clinic going on, most HS and travel ball coaches I know will be in Columbus.
Your clinic sounds like a good one though.

Unless I'm mistaken, the Columbus meeting is over on Saturday. Michael Bastian will be at that clinic in Columbus and is coming to Cincinnati on Sunday to be with Crystl for the Coaches Clinic.

Yes, you are probably correct. The Columbus clinic is usually over mid afternoon on Saturday, so Sunday wouldn't be a problem. Thank you for clearing that up, in no way was I trying to pirate your thread.

Is U10 and U12 to young to attend the hitting clinic?

At this time I don't know how many U10's will be attending, I know there are at least 4 U12's. Most of the interest to this point has been from the U16's and U18's. We will make every effort to group participants by the information they provide on the registration form and will move gilrs if possible during the clinic to taylor the instruction to a particular groups ablility as they go through the stations. In short, U10's and U12's are not too young and we will instruct a U10 with the same effort as a U18.

Yes there are still about 20 openings left for the clinic. If you will email or call me we can discuss a discount for the 11 players from one team. I can also give you hotel/motel info at that time. As for the cost of the clinic, we have limited the number of participants to 60 to provide an increased amount of time for Crystl and Howard as well as the other coaches to work with each girl. Therefore, the cost is being distributed over a smller number of participants.

Re: Hitting and Coaches Clinics (Update)

For those of you attending the clinic this Saturday don't forget to bring your helmets and batting gloves. Also, Crystl likes to see players bring note pads to write down things learned, so bring a note book and pen or pencil.

There is limited room and I am always concerned about people misplacing or losing equipment, so only bring what you really need.

There is still room for about 20 girls for Saturday's hitting clinic and as many coaches that would like to attend on Sunday for the Coach's clinic. If you are planning to attend please email or call me, that info is in the first post.

Coaches, on Sunday bring your glove and a bat there will be classroom as well as hands on activities in the gym. Michael and Crystl put on a dynamic presentation and you will learn a lot.

If the shipment arrives in time, Schutt will be providing new bats for the hitting clinic. There will be enough different lengths and weights for everyone to use during the clinic. It will be a great opportunity to try out the bat that Crystl is using.
