Very true BRUTE and high school coaches need to continue to improve in this area. I most cases they won't put together a profile until contacted by a college, whereas travel ball coaches have an inside track because they have worked with these kids since they were 8 years old in some cases and know what colleges the athlete is interested in. High school coaches only get to work with these kids for about 4 - 5 months and don't really know the athletes like the travel ball coach who works with them year around. My daughter is just starting high school and decided to go to a DII school rather than the popular DI school here in Canton because she has the opportunity to earn an asscoiates degree by the time she graduates. I have told her if she is good enough and keeps working hard, colleges will be knocking on the door. I would like to see the high school and travel ball coaches working closer together but that won't happen because kids switch travel ball teams and don't always play for the team in that school district. There are alot of very good coaches in high school that aren't there just for the $$. They are there just like the travel ball coach who is there because he sees something special in his little girl and doesn't mind putting in the time because they love the game. It isn't always about $$ or a contract thing. Teaches should not be clueless, because they have been through the college thing and know the loop holes. Good luck to all..... ;D
