Tim Crist Thunder Elite 16u my email is tim_crist@hotmail.com I have read this email an responded as asked ive also asked for his attorneys number and address to speak with him directly I have got no response my parents personally dont want to let this go with out payment. due to his lack of answers and nothing but lies! last email also said checks where in the mail that was a lie WE as parents will take this as far as it will go and as long as it takes....Tim is live and well we have sent him certified letters that he sighned for he says in his emails that he was out of town that is a lie he sighned for the letter.we also have spoke with him an asked for closer in this matter nothing but lies an deception so far. hope this time he is true to his word so further action does not have to be taken on him

I have personally talked with Bob Schrah from global Tim Cleaver has been avoiding all of Bob calls and emails as well as ours. They have fired him, Bob would like to say they are truly sorry for Tim?s actions any team that was not paid he would give them a free birth to the regionals in Michigan on June 15th for more info here is his email bschrah@gsausa.org also he would like to have emails from coaches that they received from mister cleaver so they can assist us with this matter. Bob was very helpful so please help him by sending the emails .I think all teams involved coaches we should sit down share information and the take next step. Be nice if someone would write a "Letter To The Editor" as a Guest Columnist about the guy who wrote the last guest column!!!

Bringing to light what is in the dark may get best results.........If not the funds, can at least get satisfaction letting all, not just part of the softball community know what he did to young girls!!!

Just my 2 cents, I also received the email that Tim has sent to the Coaches ! What he said in the email was the same things he talk with me about.

Tim ask me point blank what I would do if I was him, and I did tell him I would send the Coaches the $522.23 and would send them the rest ASAP even if it came out of my own pocket. I told him trying to get two people to agree on something is stuff. Not sure how you could ever get 9 people to agree on something. I told him that at least if he sent them the reduce amount it showed a attempt to do the right thing.

But at the same time I told Tim I didn't think his Attorney was give him good advice.

I want to make sure everyone understand that Tim ask me for my advice so I gave it to him. At the same time I also told Tim a few other things I'm sure he didn't want to hear as well.

While I have met a dealt with a great many wonderful people in the fastpitch community, I also have dealt with a couple bad eggs. Our first foray into TB ended up with us filing a civil suit and after about almost 2 years of dealing with police, common pleas courts, lies upon lies, we were able to receive back everything that was due us. So unfortunately I have some dealings with this type of situation. So first, if anyone knows the county where this whole fiasco of a tournament took place, I can check to see if any civil suits have been filed. My experience tells me Tim has done no such thing. Hiring a lawyer to do it for him would cost as much if not more than the money owed. Again based on my experience in dealing with such people, one lie leads to another, then another to the point that the liar almost believes his/her own lies. My advice would be to file a complaint in the common pleas court of the county in which the tournament was held. Since the money was handed over willingly by the teams, a criminal case most likely won't be generated. Again, this is just from experience, I am no lawyer, just a parent who has successfully beaten some of the bad guys at their own game...

There is a criminal charge called "Theft by deception"... it sure wouldn't hurt to talk to the prosecutor to see if they would file it.
Doesn't cost you anything to do this.

Was the tourney held and games played? If so, it appears you got what you paid for with the exception of any prizes won. You likely could have paid for another tourney without prizes awarded. From I have read the offer to pay prize money minus funds from teams that did not pay seems reasonable if it is true. Maybe the teams that didnt pay should be listed so tourney directors could avoid those teams as well as everyone avoiding Global. This is not a defense of Mr Cleaver, just an outside view. File with the better business bureau, and if you think a lawsuit is in order, you will probably have better luck filing in small claims against Global itself.

Sounds like a defense of so-called Cleaver, doesn't deserve the Mister. Cause Global didn't get this $$$, Cleaver pocketed it.

And yes, why hasn't he made public the teams that didn't pay?????? Cause it is probably just another excuse - Before anyone would let their reputation be ruined, they would let all know the real reason. But then again, this is just $700 of the over $5000, so 4 months after the fact, the 2 teams not paid is a pretty sorry defense. If 2 teams didn't pay - my hats off to them for not putting an additional $700 in William T. Cleaver's pocket.

Well, it seems that all 9 coaches have agreed, but only if this is done asap! In Tims letter he stated his lawyer has access to his email which weve all replied and asked for a response to no avail! Also he states that "He will be back in town FEB 23rd" that is this thursday. Lets just see if these teams that agreed have anything in there mailbox from Loveland OH!

One More LIE from Tim Cleaver! His letter was obviously a lie since his deadline has came and passed and none of the 9 teams have received a check from "escrow" lol or has anyone received a phone call from Tim or his lawyer on this matter!
