Looking forward to Saturday...Derek is lining me up with a student I have never worked with before to help us demonstrate, so it should be fun. We did the same thing when we did the Hawks coaches clinic and it is interesting to see how the girls improve.

Thanks to all the instructors and everyone that helped put on this year's clinic. Most of all thank you to the coaches, parents and players that traveled from near and far to attend.

I want to thank all the coaches and players for coming this weekend. The speakers were great, the working sessions were intense and everyone came to learn. By encouraging the coaches to get out with the instructors and ask questions and interact with them, I saw many A-HA! moments... and that is why we did this.

I personally want to thank Deb, Bill, Howard K, Howard C and Mark for all their time and effort - it was two long days for you guys and we appreciate it. I had a great time at dinner with all of you and it was as great a learning experience as the clinic in some ways... DEB - need to ease up on those ice tea's at 9pm - you don't need the caffeine, believe me!

Hawks Coaches - thank you - knowing that over 20 of you 'paid' to attend and brought your DD's shows the commitment to becoming softball teachers that will pay off in your teams success next season. We have a great coaching staff - I am grateful for your help and desire to be great coaches.

Lastly, let me thank Crystl Bustos for coming back down here and working out about 20 of players on Saturday evening. We had girls work with Deb on catching, Mark on agility and then go to the other site and spend 90 min with CB.

And to show it is not all SB, I got home around 10 last night and my 14u DD was up. I sat down and asked her what made the biggest impression on her... the answer Deb! I was just about to ask what part of the catching session she liked when she blurted out - Dad, that famous catcher lady from California - she likes Twilight too! We talked about New Moon at dinner and stuff.... Hey, she's just a kid and sometimes SB just does'nt need to be first...
