Marion Rebellion tournament... thank you

I posted this on another thread, but this crew deserves their own thread in appreciation of their efforts.... ?Here is ?what I posted..

The Marion Rebellion tournament got hammered by 7" of rain in a little over a week including a drencher on Friday night. ?I saw a pic sent via cell ?phone of a volunteer in the wee hours on Fri PM/Sat AM setting up an industrial sized pump ?in the middle of a field. ?The water was half way up to his knee!!!!!

They changed the start time from 10am Sat to 4PM Sat. ?The games were shortened from 1:20 to 1:00 drop dead.

The games ALL started at 4:00 and by the end of the day Sunday, ALL games were played and ended pretty much on time on Sunday, with the championship games going a full 7. ?When I saw the pic, I thought "NO WAY" we will play Saturday. ?A friend told me... hold off on your prediction. ?The Rebellion crew worked THROUGH the night and by 4:00 the next day - all games were played. ?I would have bet my house that would never happen. ?I will NEVER doubt the staff at the Marion Rebellion tournament which is a Pony qualifier.

Next year, when teams are making their schedules, remember the tournaments that bust their unmentionables to do right by the girls. ?Mark this one down as a given. ?I am proud that my team play in this venue. ?I have the upmost respect and appreciation for Brian and his Rebellion staff. ?Hats off to a classy and caring group of people.

I completely agree. This is one of the best tournaments we attend. No matter what the weather, the crew is prepared and does whatever they have to in order to put on a first rate tournament. They put in countless hours to make sure the teams enjoy their experience and it shows.

Hats off to the Rebellion staff and thanks as always for a great tournament.

My first time in Marion, I d like to thank the crew for moving all the water to the parking lot so my son had a great place to play for two days.

Ditto, I was extremely impressed with the field crews and the tournament as a whole.

Congrats Buckeye Heat
(Hope to run into you again in a finals soon)

The Marion Merchants 12u Black would also like to thank Brian and his whole staff for doing such a great job on the fields. I live in Marion, and Friday night the fields were completely under water, I thought there was no way we would play. They worked all night and did an unbelievable job. I've seen alot of post where teams didnt get all thier games in at other tournaments this weekend, we were able to play 2 games on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. 5 games on fathers day with our great DD's. Thanks again Brian and your whole staff.

Kudo's to Brian and his crew. It's great to know when you sign up for a tournament that they will do everything possible to pull it off. Not to mention the realtime posting of scores, the walking taco, and chichen sandwiches were great.
Thanks Brian,
The Ohio Tribe 16U tournament Champions
