Missed base on homerun

No outs, runner on 1st. The batter hits an over the fence homerun, but misses third base. The runner is ruled out on the appeal. The runner on 1st scores. I believe the rule was applied correctly, but wondering about scoring. Is the batter credited with a double, since she was ruled out on the missed base at 3rd?

That is my assumption CShilt, as well wow are the Lady Buccs tearing it up!! Looks like a walk in the park to Firestone and a heavy favorite to win the big trophy!!

From ATEC scoring guide for extra base hits:

1. Credit a batter with an extra base hit when she reaches a base beyond first base solely because of her hit,

a - if tagged out after over sliding, the batter does not get credit for that base, only the preceding base,

b - if tagged out after over running, the batter does get credit for that base, and

c - if a batter misses a base, she gets credit for only the bases she touched before missing the base.

Thanks, we're proud of them, but we don't count chickens before they're hatched around here. We've been close before, but there are a lot of good teams out there.
