I was thinking along the same lines. Can't imagine why the coach would have trust issues when the first guy he lets in is airing all the laundry on a public website.;&

Two teams and build a program. The jv you put on the field this year will be part of varsity in the coming years.

My original post was because I wanted someone else's opinion about not having a JV team. I thought that maybe I was missing a bigger picture, that maybe there was a benefit in not having one. Hopefully he does have some master plan that will work out great and they win all their games!!

Your OP was okay. It's the recent posts that may make your DD's fear come true.
