Be prepared for DRAMA!! Understand that every issue is a HUGE issue to her, but try to teach her not to sweat the small stuff. Trust that you have taught her to make the right decisions.....even though you will keep a close eye on her to ensure she stays on the right path.....My 14y.o. dd many times just needs to vent to me...The hardest thing in the world for me was to loosen the reins and give her space....It is hard to see your baby becoming more independent.....but they still need you (even if they don't agree!) I currently have one 14 year old DD and one 16 year old DD. (GOD help me !!!)
I don't have any exact numbers but I would venture to guess that they send and receive somewhere between 1-2 MILLION text messages per DAY !!! (no-joke!)
The best way to communicate with you teenage daughter is to learn how to TEXT.
And make sure that your phone service includes FREE TEXTING.
